Sunday Confessional - I Slept With Someone Else

Last November I started dating this guy who I really liked. We saw each other for about a month, but then he got laid off from his job and left early to head home for the holidays. We never had a talk about our relationship status so I just assumed we would pick up where we left off when he returned the first week in January - but he didn't come back, he decided to travel instead. Although he texted me regularly, he never told me when he would be back.

After two months had passed, I went out with some girlfriends, had a little too much to drink, and had a one night stand with a guy I met in a bar. While it was fun at the time, I was not proud of my crazy behavior the next morning.

Then two weeks ago, out of the blue, I got a call from my old flame - he was back. He took me out to dinner and asked me if I had been with anyone while he was gone, and since I can't lie to people I care about, I told him the truth. He flipped out and said that if I really wanted to be with him, I would have waited. Did I really do something wrong? He never told me when he was coming back or if we even had something! Was I supposed to wait for him forever? He's completely pulled away from me, but shouldn't he be able to forgive me?

You Asked: Should I Tell Him About My Plastic Surgery?

Dear Sugar,

This past Summer, I finally took the plunge and had a nose job. It wasn't anything too drastic - I just removed the bump I had always hated - and though most people cannot pinpoint what's so different about me, I feel like it has made a huge impact on my self-esteem. I have only told my closest friends and nobody else has asked.

So my question is really about my new boyfriend. He didn't know me before I had the rhinoplasty so is it something that I should tell him, or is it one of those things that doesn't really matter? I don't know why, but I have the urge to tell him as this was a big life-altering experience for me. But I don't want to give him the wrong impression - I'm not a vain person by any means. Dear Wanting to Confess Carry,

Whether you're for or against plastic surgery, it's a personal decision that you should not be ashamed of. Clearly it did wonders for your self-esteem, so while I understand that you don't want to shout this news from the rooftops. If you have an urge to tell your boyfriend, I say go for it - after all, he'll probably figure it out sooner than later as old photos don't lie!

Yes, plastic surgery often comes with negative stigmas, but if your boyfriend is going to judge you for doing something for yourself, he might just not be the guy for you. Good luck!

Relationship Protocol: How Do You Feel About Your Man Staying Out Late?

I caught up on Monday night's episode of The City last night, and I have to say, Jay's late-night antics really made me doubt his trustworthiness. He's currently living with his girlfriend, Whitney, while he looks for a new apartment, and while she's home cozy in bed, he's out being the rock star that he is until the wee hours of the morning, doing who knows what!

I happen to agree with the saying "nothing good happens after midnight" - well, maybe 2 a.m.! - but how would you feel if your significant other was out on the town until, two, three, or four in the morning? Would it be a red flag that he was up to no good, or does the time he comes home have no relevance to you whatsoever?

Dear Poll: Do You Tell Your Friends What They Want to Hear?

He's Just Not That Into You has been out for a week now, but I can't seem to get it out of my head! The clips in the beginning of the movie, where the women make excuses as to why the guy didn't call, were actually my favorite part. They come up with every reason in the book, ranging from "you're too pretty for him" to "he's waiting for you to call him"!

Though I happen to feel that honesty is the best policy, I'll admit that I've fibbed to my friends before to lessen the blow of the inevitable. What about you? Have you ever told a friend what she wanted to hear even though you knew the real answer was that he was just not that into her?

Handle This: Your Friend Always Talks About Money

If you were put in a situation like this, how would you handle it?

Money is on the minds of most people these days, and while it's on yours too, it's not something you like to overthink. One of your friends, however, can't seem to talk about much else. It seems like every time you're together, she's asking how much things cost, how much your new shoes set you back, or how you can afford the trip you're taking with your husband that you've both been saving for. While you understand that many people are struggling right now, you don't think it's fair that she's making you feel guilty for the way you live your life. She's a dear friend and you don't want to make her feel uncomfortable, but her behavior is starting to affect your friendship, so tell me, how would you handle this?

Online dating seems to be the new way for busy singles to meet new potential mates, and while I hear happy endings from men and women all the time, there are many cynics out there who are skeptical of the millions of people creating dating profiles.

Since it's easy to lie and be deceptive on such sites, the brains behind Match.com have just launched a new site, DownToEarth.com, which aims to be the most honest and respectful free dating service on the Internet. In an effort to give their community authentic members, they've come up with a rating system where fellow daters rank the users' profiles against their real lives. This is a genius idea if you ask me, but I wonder just how many people are actually dishonest when creating a profile. To the 37 percent of you online daters, tell me, have you ever lied in your profile?

Sunday Confessional: I Hate the Gift My Boyfriend Gave Me!

My boyfriend and I spent our first Christmas together this year. I'm a big holiday person so I went all out, spending months racking my brain to think of the perfect gift for him: a ski jacket he'd had his eye on.

We celebrated on Christmas Eve, had a lovely home-cooked meal, and snuggled up by the fireplace - it was a perfect evening. When it came time to open gifts, I wanted him to go first. All my hard work paid off because he absolutely loved it. When it was my turn to open, however, I couldn't have been more shocked - it was like he didn't know me at all!

I get that Christmas isn't all about presents, but I can't help but feel disappointed that he got me such an impersonal gift - a gift certificate to a store I would never shop at! I faked it and thanked him, but I guess my feelings were written all over my face because he knew something was wrong. I hate lying to him so can I be forgiven if I tell him the truth? I just don't think I can keep it in much longer.

Sunday Confessional: I Told My Friend How I Really Feel

One of my dear friends has been seeing a guy off and on for over a year. When things were "good" between them, she completely disappeared and spent all her free time with him. I felt left out, but I wanted her to be happy, even if it meant we saw less of each other.

As time went on, he began to change and their relationship went downhill, fast. She would make excuses for his terrible attitude and bad behavior, but I never bought it - he was making her miserable. When she finally confided in me about the troubles they'd been having, I told her the truth about how I feel about him. In an effort to be honest, I took it a little too far and before I knew it, every negative thing I'd ever thought about her boyfriend came blurting out of my mouth. From the look on her face, I could tell that I crossed the line. I immediately retracted, but it was too late - she was hurt and furious with me.

It's been two weeks since and she still, after numerous apologies, wants nothing to do with me. I was just trying to help her see what everyone else sees, so can I be forgiven for speaking the truth?

Has a Friend Ever Falsely Accused You of Something?

Last night's episode of The Hills was one of the most dramatic yet. We saw Lauren and Audrina's spat over Justin Bobby unfold before the show aired, but watching how it really went down made me realize just how ridiculous Audrina's accusations were. While I understand her reasons behind confronting both Justin and Lauren, their first denial should have been good enough for Audrina to simply drop the issue. I've never been falsely accused of something by a friend before, so I can only guess how frustrating it must be to defend your word against someone else's. Have any of you ever been accused by a friend of doing something you had absolutely nothing to do with?

True Confession - I Told Him He's Bad in Bed!

"I told my boyfriend of a year that he is bad in bed; which he is. Even though I knew that comment would hurt him, I felt I had no choice.
