Without a gimmicky reality show, how does a has-been celebrity get some attention these days? Well if you're Lionel Richie, you gulp down a balloon of helium prior to performing on a German talk show and sing- "Hello!" We hear you knocking Lionel, but maybe add a couple cartwheels and a juggling bit to your act and we might let you back in . . .

Who's Douchier? Jon Gosselin or Richard Heene

It only made sense to me to pit America's least favorite dads against each other in the battle for who's douchier.

On the one hand, there's Jon Gosselin of Jon and Kate Plus Eight fame. This man had no problem parading his children around on reality television when he was still on the payroll, but now that he's getting cut out of the show, he refuses to let his wife continue on without him. (He claims it's a sudden concern for his children and not his sudden loss of income that's motivating him.)

On the other hand, there's alleged balloon hoax perp Richard Heene, who is being prosecuted along with his wife for pretending that his six-year-old son Falcon had unlatched the family's helium balloon and was flying around in danger. We already enumerated his douchey ways, but to summarize: the guy's a misogynistic, homophobic, racist jerk who is using his kids to get famous.

So now it's up to you . . .

"We Are the World" Gets Owned by Japanese Impersonators

These folks definitely did their homework. Watch a group of Japanese impersonators re-create the 1985 "We Are the World" music vid, featuring Tina Turner, Stevie Wonder, Wacko Jacko, Lionel "Hello Helium" Richie, and others. The look, sound, and mannerisms of the impersonations are spot-on, but Cyndi Lauper is my fave. Her vocals sound like a car with worn brakes screeching to a ~~halt~~ crash - just like the good ol' days . . .

This Fisherman Is A Gas!

Yeah, Yeah, Yeah- so the 20 lb. fish has teeth. Cool. But I'm more interested in the fisherman responsible for finding the fish. When he's not fishing, he's lovin' up on a helium machine. And if that's not the case, then I think he's had his fair share of the lake water. No more for you, buddy.
