Without a gimmicky reality show, how does a has-been celebrity get some attention these days? Well if you're Lionel Richie, you gulp down a balloon of helium prior to performing on a German talk show and sing— "Hello!" We hear you knocking Lionel, but maybe add a couple cartwheels and a juggling bit to your act and we might let you back in .
It only made sense to me to pit America's least favorite dads against each other in the battle for who's douchier.
On the one hand, there's Jon Gosselin of Jon and Kate Plus Eight fame. This man had no problem parading his children around on reality television when he was still on the payroll, but now that he's getting cut out of the show, he refuses to let his wife continue on without him.
These folks definitely did their homework. Watch a group of Japanese impersonators re-create the 1985 "We Are the World" music vid, featuring Tina Turner, Stevie Wonder, Wacko Jacko, Lionel "Hello Helium" Richie, and others. The look, sound, and mannerisms of the impersonations are spot-on, but Cyndi Lauper is my fave.
