Since tonight is the first night of Hanukkah, I thought it would be fun to share what traditions your families have on this special holiday. Every year, my dad makes a huge feast including the best potato latkes I've ever tasted. We get together and light the menorah that he made in his high school ceramics class (cute, huh?) and my mom leads the prayer.

Dear Sugar
My boss converted to Judaism about ten years ago. I wouldn't call her devout, but she did join a Temple this year and observes all the Jewish holidays. Every year she and I exchange gifts; normally I give her jewelry and she gives me a fun beauty product, but this year I want to give her something more meaningful.

Other guests included Willie Nelson, Elvis Costello, Toby Keith, and Feist.
