Getting sexy for Halloween is fun, but getting a date and going with a theme can be really fun too. Since the plug and socket is overdone, I've come up with a few new and creative costume ideas for couples, so check them out below!

Naughty '50s Housewife and a Post Man - Go ahead and make fun of a silly stereotype!
Ball and Chain - A couple's classic, but not as popular as the plug and socket.
Hillbilly Honeymooners - All you need are a couple of beer helmets and some flip-flops.
Mario and the Princess - Everyone always does Mario and Luigi, but I never see the Princess.
Any of the couples from The Office - This is for those of you who really like to get into character!

Or, go as the CA driver's license Britney never had. You can get nerdy as a good old-fashioned game of tetris or, even better, fleshify your Facebook (or Teamsugar) homepage. All are simple, cheap, and innovative enough to win you the "best costume" prize at any small party or lame office gathering, so there's no excuse to be yourself this Halloween. Unless, of course, your name is Spencer Pratt- then you're good to go, as is.

Our countdown to Halloween continues. I love clever, pop culture literate, and sometimes just plain weird Halloween costumes. What I get really tired of is when women just use Halloween as an excuse to dress up in a "sexy" way. Boooring-unless you dress up as a "sexy lobster" or "sexy mustard bottle." Because that would be awesome...(Thanks, Feministing!)

I'm sure many of us are expecting to see some serious skin tomorrow night for Halloween. The holiday has turned into an excuse to sexify even the most innocent costumes (sexy Harry Potter is just not OK).

I have to admit that the Wonder Woman costume I borrowed is a little short, but I plan on wearing thick leggings underneath. Do you dress sexier than usual on Halloween, or do you channel your costume creativity in a more reserved way?

Are "Couples" Halloween Costumes Cute or Corny?

As a child, I was very into Halloween. So even now, I still get myself to a bar or party every Halloween, and I always dress up.

Some couples go their separate ways when dressing for Halloween, while other mates opt for couples Halloween costumes. If I happen to be with someone when Oct. 31 rolls around, I make it a point to plan our costumes so they match. One year, I was a bee and my boyfriend was a beekeeper (aww). What do you think: Is dressing up with your significant other cute or corny? Please share in the comments.
