Jessica Biel Gives Herself a Cheat Day - Do You?

Jessica Biel is looking pretty flirty as the August cover girl for Glamour UK. Besides discussing why she keeps her relationship with Justin Timberlake on the DL, Jessica also opens up about her fitness regimen and eating habits. She also tells the mag that she is not perfect: "I'm not a perfect person who doesn't mess up, eat bad, not work out - I do all those things."

For the most part, Jessica says that she keeps active with gym, hiking, and ballet, and also sticks to a regimented diet when working - no bread, dairy, sugar, salt, and not a lot of meat. But even then, she gives herself a cheat day to eat anything she wants: "When I'm working and I eat healthily all week, I then give myself one day - usually Sunday - when I just eat what I want. You have to, otherwise your mind goes a little nutso."

Google's Marissa Mayer Is One of Glamour's Women of the Year

At just 34-years-old, as Google's vice president, search and user experience, Marissa Mayer, will soon be celebrating her 10-year Google anniversary. Being the very first female engineer to be hired by the search engine company way back in 1999, Mayer climbed her way to the top and is now a very prominent figure at Google, which now employs over 19,000 people worldwide.

This month, Glamour Magazine is honoring Mayer with a Woman of the Year award. Speaker Nancy Pelosi, speaker of the U.S. House of Representatives and 2002 Woman of the Year explains why Mayer was selected for this award:

"She has been a powerhouse of creativity and business acumen for one of the world’s most innovative companies. Marissa Mayer is leading the way in keeping America number one."

A very deserving recipient indeed - smart, geeky, and not to mention, incredibly stylish!

Serena Williams Named Woman of the Year

Looks like having a potty mouth won't hurt you too much. Serena Williams is one of 11 outstanding ladies Glamour magazine has chosen for its Women of the Year issue.

Glamour cites Williams's competitive spirit and drive as a testament to her success, even in the face of hardships like the tragic murder of her sister Yetunde and her rise through the rankings after suffering injuries in 2006. This year it all came full circle for Williams when she captured the Wimbledon victory against her sister, Venus - whom she credits as being a major force in motivating her to work the hardest and become the best.

Besides her Wimbledon victory, Williams has 11 Grand Slam titles, two Olympic gold medals, and has earned more prize money than any female athlete in history. But her trophies and bank account aren't the only reason Glamour thinks Williams is tops. Between winning matches, she's managed to start her own clothing line, pen an autobiography, and open a school in Kenya through her Serena Williams Foundation.

Who else did Glamour name as Women of the Year? Some of the other notables Williams holds court with are Michelle Obama, Maria Shriver, Rihanna, and poet Maya Angelou.

Rihanna Waits Her Turn to Be a Woman of the Year

Rihanna is starting to promote her upcoming album, including posing for Glamour's Women of the Year issue. It also coincides with the debut of her new video for "Wait Your Turn" - check it out after the jump. Rihanna has remained silent about the incident with Chris Brown thus far, but she's finally opening up about what happened. She's set to share a little about the ordeal this week on GMA and 20/20. She also discussed the drama, as well as her career and childhood, in the magazine. Here's more:

On her career: "I would have never dreamed that my career would be this successful. I grew up in an average home in Barbados, and we didn’t live in the best neighborhood. But I was never aware that we were poor; my mom never made us feel that way. She made us feel anything was possible and instilled in me such confidence."
On auditioning for Jay-Z: "I thought he would be in a suit, sitting behind a desk with a cigar. But he was totally chill, wearing sneakers and a t-shirt. In a matter of weeks, the first single went to radio. Then we shot a video, and the song just took off. I was in the top 10 with huge artists who I looked up to. Jay-Z kept telling me, 'This never happens, so don’t get used to it.' I saw how special that moment was."

On getting through the past year: "I went to sleep as Rihanna and woke up as Britney Spears! My friends and family have been extremely supportive, and everyone has been there for me. On her new album: "I put everything I’ve wanted to say for the past eight months into my music. The songs are really personal. It’s rock ‘n’ roll, but it’s really hip-hop: if Lil’ Wayne and Kings of Leon like my album, then I’ll feel good. I would not change anything about it."

Britney Gets Glamorous Yet Says She's Boring

Britney Spears looks fresh-faced and golden on the January cover of Glamour magazine, as we get to see the results of her Patrick Demarchelier photo shoot. The singer was back to performing on stage this weekend and as everyone buzzes about whether Britney's back to her old self, the singer talks about her life and how she wants her future to end up. Here's more:

On her come back: "I have 'come back' so many times, people are just like, Is this another one?... It’s kind of like a joke to me now."
On a misconception about her: "I don’t like going out. I hate clubs. I hate being around too many people. I love my home and staying in bed and watching Dancing With the Stars or reading a Danielle Steel novel. I’m kind of boring."
On where she wants to be in 5 or 10 years: "I would love to have a lot of albums under my belt. And a couple of movies….In five years I would like to be married and have a father figure for my kids, someone who is a provider and can be really stable."

Five Rules For Meeting His Parents

The holidays are fast approaching, so if you're meeting your boyfriend's parents for the first time, you might want to check out the five helpful tips that Glamour magazine is sharing with us in their November issue. As we all know, meeting the parents is a huge rite of passage, one that is never taken lightly, so check out my take on their five suggestions below and a few of my own, too.

Be present. If you're overly consumed with a pimple on your face or worrying that you're not saying the right thing, you could in turn come off aloof. Make sure his parents know you're interested in the conversation and in the moment.
Don't overspend to impress. Sending a thank you note, flowers, or bringing a small gift as a thank you for hosting you is always a nice gesture, but don't go overboard - you don't want to seem like you're trying too hard.
Volley the hard questions to him. If his parents put you on the spot to the point of uncomfortableness, turn to your boyfriend and cue him to take over. He'll know how to pull back the reins.

Drink in moderation (the night before, too!). Being hung over isn't cute, so make sure you're bright-eyed and bushy-tailed when meeting his parents for the first time. No one likes a drunk and chances are his parents will notice how much you drink, so know your limits and act like a lady.
Treat them like friends, not fogies. You don't want to age his parents by sparking up dull conversation about the weather. They are people in addition to being your boyfriend's parents so engage them like you'd want to be engaged!

Have your boyfriend debrief you pre-visit. If you go in knowing what they are interested in, you'll be able to have an edge by knowing exactly what to say!
Be yourself. There's a reason your boyfriend wants to show you off to his parents so relax, take a deep breath, and let them get to know you.
Don't be too affectionate with your boyfriend. A little PDA goes a long way, especially in front of adults. Even if you're usually a very touchy-feely couple, tone it down a notch; you don't want to make them feel uncomfortable or come off as needy.

Feeling sexy means something different for every woman. Sometimes it's when we're in sexy clothes, and other times it's when we've just woken up, au naturale. Of course it is all about how you feel inside, but according to the October issue of Glamour magazine, it's these five simple acts that men find sexy. Check out what they are below:

When you lock eyes and smile: Researchers at Scotland's University of Aberdeen Face Research Lab proved that when a woman looks at a man, smiles genuinely and locks eyes with him, he finds her face much more attractive than if she were to stare at him without the grin.

When you use girly body language: According to the classic study of 1985 conducted by psychologist Monica Moore, PhD, women have 35 "courtship signals" ranging from hair-flipping to lip-licking that work when attracting men. In Moore's study, the women who used these body language techniques were approached by an average of four men. Those that didn't use body language didn't get approached at all.

Is Your Bedroom Equipped For Love Making?

I know many people who consider their bedrooms their sanctuaries. They spend a lot of money on a comfortable bed, soft sheets, and perfect lighting to make bedtime all the more enjoyable. But even if your bedroom is perfectly outfitted for a good night's sleep, let me ask you this: Is it suitable for a good night of sex? According to Tina B. Tessina, PhD and author of Money, Sex and Kids, for starters, we should all be taking it easy on the family photos:

Pictures of family and friends can spark subconscious thoughts of things troubling you or of obligation.

Additionally, she says TV is a big no-no in the bedroom. Researchers have found that those couples who do watch the tube in bed actually have less sex!

I'm pretty sure we all know how to set the mood when need be, but tell me, is your bedroom already well-equipped for sexy time at a moment's notice?
