But I wanted to ask you guys, do you have any questions you'd like me to ask the salty-tongued lass who, among other things, wrote and starred in Jesus Is Magic and told her version of a notoriously raunchy joke in The Aristocrats? GiggleSugar Interviews Margaret Cho!

When I think of Margaret Cho, I think of her hilarious standup act in flashes of representative scenes. There's Margaret telling everyone how weird it is to be an Asian American on an airplane with a flight attendant offering you Asian chicken salad. ("That is not the salad of my people!") There's Margaret imitating her mother's cute Korean accent and puzzling over gay men and their, uh, interest in "the ass." And then there's Margaret imagining how period-centric the world would be if men menstruated. The busy comedian/activist/all-around rad diva took some time out of her schedule to talk with us about her many projects, including VH1's The Cho Show (the second episode airs tomorrow), what it's like to have a day named after you in San Francisco, and who is hotter: Lindsay Lohan or Samantha Ronson?

GiggleSugar: People feel very connected to you personally. Do you have any funny or crazy fan stories?

Margaret Cho:
People really connect with me for a lot of different reasons. I was the first Asian American person they ever saw on TV, and I was the first person to talk about gay stuff. I think when people see images of themselves in the media they feel like they matter, they exist and they‘re real so a lot of my connection with people who are fans of mine, it goes deeper than just an entertainment or artist kind of relationship, so I don’t really have like, a funny or weird fan story.

GS: You have a lot on your plate right now, particularly with The Cho Show which premiered on VH1 last week. I really love the chemistry you have with Selene, your gay friends, and your parents. It seemed to me like a 21st-century family.

MC: It’s like this beautiful, queer, multicultural, and very functional family. It’s really beautiful.

GS: Can you tell me what your vision for the show was?

MC: Well, I wanted to do a show about another Asian American family because I brought the first Asian American family to TV (All-American Girl) and I then I was alarmed that there had not been another one.

GS: Race, and sexuality and gender have been really central to your work and have inspired lots of people to join comedy who might not have felt like they could be a part of it. What do you think the state of race issues in comedy is these days?

MC:
It’s a big deal. Race is still very much a factor in how much we see of you. Like I look at my contemporaries, the people I started with are people like Ben Stiller, and I feel like, considering the difference in our careers, and how far he goes . . . he’s white, he’s straight, he’s a man. I think he’s great, I like him a lot, but . . .Race is a big factor in how successful people become.

GS: With some comedians I get the sense that they’re saying we’re post-identity, post-race, they think race doesn’t matter as much because now we’re all liberated . . .

MC: No! It’s just as bad as it always was. It’s incredibly sexist, incredibly racist, and incredibly homophobic. There’s no difference. It’s not liberated.

GS: I’m wondering if you saw the pictures of the Spanish basketball team . . .

MC:
Oh, yeah. That to me is so offensive but I feel that to them it was supposed to be affectionate. That’s how you’re affectionate, by showing racism. I think that there’s such a casual attitude towards racism against Asians that exists because I feel like the Asian community at large and especially the Asian-American community is not responsible enough to stand up to it and so I feel like it’s my responsibility to stand up to it.

GS: Who are some of the comics who inspired you and who are some of your favorite comedians now, and why?

MC:
When I was growing up, probably Joan Rivers or Richard Pryor or George Carlin or Steve Martin, Whoopi Goldberg, Paula Poundstone. Major huge influence. Love her. And now Wanda Sykes is my favorite. Chris Rock. Dave Chapelle. Bobby Lee. I’m a big fan of comedy.

GS: Do you see comedy evolving?

MC: I feel like comedians are becoming political - they’ve always been political - but they’re becoming more political now, and are even invited into the political realm to talk about politics. I’m an Obama campaign surrogate so to me that’s a very exciting thing to do. And so, I think, comedy has evolved and people are taking us more seriously as social commentators. Which is really cool.

GS: This is more a personal question but is also related to your humor. In your earlier shows like The Notorious C.H.O. you talk a lot about your experimentation when you were younger with sex, drugs and being kinda self-destructive. Do you regret any of that or do you think it contributed to who you are now and to your humor?

MC: I don’t regret that. I feel like . . . I want the brain cells back. (Laughs.) That’s the hard part . . .

GS: Don’t we all!

MC: Cuz I remember I used to be so lightning fast and it was like really crazy how smart I was. And now I’m just f*ckin’ so dumb, and I can’t remember sh*t.

GS: I think that’s age, too, cuz I’m right there with you.

MC: Yeah, but it’s f*ckin’ drugs. For me, it was totally drugs. I have huge gaps.

GS: But you weren’t a huffer or anything? (Laughs.)

MC: No, but you know, I did every drug, and a lot.

GS: You were a San Francisco girl, how could you avoid it?

MC: It’s so fun, but I miss the brain cells.

GS: They’ll regenerate. I think. (Laughs.) So, speaking of San Francisco, how does it feel to have a Margaret Cho day christened by the mayor?

MC: That was April 30. That was just last April. It was really cool and I actually work with Mayor Newsom a lot, because he and I are big gay marriage advocates.

GS: And your parents are still in San Francisco?

MC:
No, they moved. They’re in San Diego now.

GS: They’re so cute!

MC: They’re really cute.

GS: Your parents seem so not uptight!

MC: Well, they have their moments of getting super-uptight. They can’t fight their culture all the time. They can be pretty uptight sometimes and annoying. But they’re super-sweet and really fun, too.

GS: How does it feel to be successful and to also remain rebellious? Do you still feel like an outsider?

MC: I’ll always be an outsider because of who I am. There’s never going to be a feeling where I feel like I’ve arrived or I’m comfortable, but I feel like I’ve created my own thing. I love performing, I love doing standup comedy, and I love writing.

GS: You’ve been married for six years.

MC: We’ve been together for like 10. We’ve been married forever!

GS: But you still identify as bi or queer.

MC: For sure. Which I’ll always be. That doesn’t change.

GS: That’s wonderful. Are there any other projects that you’re working on that you’d like to talk about?

MC:
I’m doing a show for the Lifetime Channel now called Drop Dead Diva which is a comedy/drama. I play a legal secretary which is really cool and funny. I have to cover up my tattoos in a suit and be super-vanilla which is cool and which I love. And it’s a great show and then I’m going to finish out my tour dates, and then I’m gonna see if I finish out season two of The Cho Show. (I hope we are!) But we don’t know yet.

GS: What are some things that your fans might not know about you that would surprise them?

MC: Like, I am really a dog mom.

GS: Oh . . . ! [This is where I kept quiet about my cat fetish.]

MC: I have three dogs. They’re my whole life.

GS: Silly questions, now. Either or questions: Strawberry or grape-flavored gum?

MC: I can’t chew gum because I’m such a spaz like I would bite the inside of my mouth so much and bite my tongue and then my whole mouth would be filled with blood. It’s really stupid. I’m really dumb about chewing gum. I’m not sure how to. Sometimes, I’m super dumb about stuff. The other thing I’m dumb about is I don’t know how to do the laundry.

GS: I wish I didn’t know how to do the laundry and then I could make someone else do it. Granny panties or thongs?

MC: Um, I’d say thongs. But I do appreciate a granny panty in moderation.

GS: Lindsay Lohan or Samantha Ronson?

MC: Oooh. I love Samantha. (GS: I know!) MC: She’s such a hot dirty butch. I like her a lot.

MC: That’s it Margaret, thank you so much for your time. I hope to catch your show, Beautiful, in Santa Rosa!

GiggleSugar Interviews: Victoria Jackson

Saturday Night Live alum Victoria Jackson is well-known for her send-up of the ditzy blonde. With a tiny voice and goofy antics, Victoria became famous on Johnny Carson's The Tonight Show where she performed stand-up while variously on a balance beam, doing handstands, and playing the ukulele. She went on to perform on six seasons of Saturday Night Live, working with the likes of Mike Myers, Phil Hartman, and Chris Farley. Victoria still does stand-up (of the handstand variety), records ukulele CDs (!), and acts in movies. She granted this interview to promote the newly released Christian comedy DVD Thou Shalt Laugh: The Deuce, which features a night of stand-up comedy hosted by funnyman Tim Conway. Without further ado, here's Victoria in her own words...

GS: How did you get your break in comedy?
VJ: My big break was on The Johnny Carson Show. I was doing standup in L.A. while doing handstands and playing the ukulele, and a scout from the show contacted me.

GS: Did you expect that comedy would be your life’s work?
VJ: When I was a kid, I wanted to be a teacher, mostly because I liked chalk…But I got the comedy acting bug when I was at Furman University in Greenville, South Carolina. A friend was auditioning for a play and I was with her. Her drama teacher suggested that I act. Once I did it, once I was up on stage, I realized I was controlling the audience with my feather duster, and I became addicted.

GS: You were on Saturday Night Live from 1986 to 1992. You were only 27 years old-what was it like to reach the comedy big time? Were you nervous, intimidated?
VJ: Well, I was married and had a baby at 27, so I thought I was grown up. I’m 48 now and feel like a kid, but I thought I was really mature back then! Auditioning made me nervous; I knew it could change my life if I got the part. And SNL was a very stressful environment. It was survival of the fittest. The more you wrote for the show, the more you got to perform. So while Mike Myers was writing six sketches a week, I was doing like two a year and staring at blank paper in my typewriter.

GS: Was live television nerve-wracking?
VJ: I didn’t mind live television. As a gymnast, I was used to being on a balance beam four inches wide, with judges rating my performance, so I was used to the adrenaline rush. Actually, if I didn’t have that, I would die. I finally left SNL because I was going through a divorce, I wanted to spend more time with my daughter, friends were leaving the show…and I ran out of ideas.

GS: As a female standup comedian, do you feel women are treated differently when they’re on stage? Are people’s expectations different?
VJ: I don’t like when people complain about being a woman in comedy. I think that’s B.S. It was survival of the fittest on SNL whether you were a dog, horse, woman, man. I mean, comedy is different for women-different things are funny for women and men. When Chris Farley was dancing with his belly jiggling, for example, it was funny. If I were in a bikini doing it, it wouldn’t have been funny-it would’ve been sad. But I don't think the treatment is different.

GS: What’s been your favorite part of participating in Thou Shalt Laugh: The Deuce, and what would you like our readers to know about it?
VJ: I like that there are no bad words and no sexual innuendoes. I had this cab driver recently who asked me what I did, and I said I do standup comedy. “So you tell dirty jokes?” he asked me. That’s what people associate comedy with now! The best comics-Jerry Seinfeld, Steve Martin-they don’t have to be dirty. I don’t know what’s happening in this country that that’s what comedy is associated with. Aside from that, I got to meet Tim Conway!

The GiggleSugar spotlight shines this week on one of our most loyal and prolific readers, 8th grader XDeexDeeX, a native Oregonian now living in France. She loves animals, candy, and (bien sur!) GiggleSugar! Be sure to check out the gallery of images at the end of the interview.

GS: What is your motto?
DD: O.K yes this may seem extremely weird but my motto is "We always serve the customer." It's kind of like when you meet someone no matter how mean or annoying they seem, you still serve them no matter what. It kind of leads to when you have really mean people in your class that are just rude or stubborn but you still are nice to them. It's as if you're serving them.

GS:Where are you from? DD:I'm from the ol' hick town of Portland, Oregon but currently I live in France.

GS: What do you do? DD: Well mostly just going to school (which takes up over half of my year..pfff). I'm in the 8th grade right now so I don't have a job or anything.

GS: How would you describe your sense of humor? DD: I take after my dad so I'm funnier than I seem but I can't call myself someone who would crack up a friend in a second. But that doesn't give me any reason to not be on GiggleSugar! (GS: I agree!) No talking needed really. Just looking and laughing. hehe

GS: What's your favorite GiggleSugar post? DD: Oh Oh Oh!! I really loved Will Ferrell In "The Landlord". But there are sooo many that I thought were hilarious. Mostly the "Family Guy" ones too. :-}

GS: Who's the cutest funny man and woman? DD: Ooo definitely Will Ferrell! He's so cute when he's funny. Unlike some people hehe. And funny woman would probably be Drew Barrymore. Luv her.

GS: Who are your favorite comedians? DD: Will Ferrell! (I know that's a big suprise. ) David Spade, Adam Sandler, Jim Carrey.

GS: What's your favorite comedy? DD: (O.K I know that I'm so obsessed with Will Ferrell. And it's probably getting tiring that I've been mentioning him four posts in a row. But just hold on! It's almost over! lol)
I really love Elf, 50 First Dates, Tommy Boy, The Grinch Who Stole Christmas, Ace Ventura, Dick and Jane, Napolean Dynamite (who isn't obsessed with it? lol), Spanglish and A LOT MORE. Trust me---I watch way too many movies.

GS: If your life were a comedy, what would it be? DD: Hard to explain but I think it would be really HYPER!! Where everyone gets hyped on coke and candy! O.K...It doesn't really make sense but I think my comedy would definitely be Hyper. (As you can see it IS hard to explain. )

GS: Do you ever get told you look like someone famous? DD: Most days I just look like myself. I'm sure there's someone out there. lol

Free-for-all. A little about me: I'm Jordan. Dee Dee is my nickname since I was a baby. (My brother couldn't say baby so he called me DeeDee. :-} yup.) I love animals and have had 11 cats, 3 mice and a rabbit in my whole life. I live in France because I'm a missionary but am moving back to Oregon this summer. I love music and I love to sing.

GS: When are you online for other readers to chat with? DD: Well since there's 9 hour difference between Oregon and France I usually am not on when most of the members on here are on but in some places it's only a 6 hour difference. If you come on in the morning you'll certainly catch me online.

GiggleSugar Reader Spotlight: Swwonder

GiggleSugar shines its spotlight on one of our fab readers from across the pond--the sassy Swwonder from the U.K. She may add a "u" to words like "honour" and "colour," but she has one thing in common with other loyal GiggleSugar readers--she's got good taste and a great sense of humour! Heh heh. Be sure to check out her picture gallery at the end of the interview.

GS: What's your motto?
SW: I made one up a few years ago and it sort of stuck; "Be fine and dandy all the way to your funeral and if you can, help others smile along the way." In other words, just stay happy until the day you die and help others do the same.

GS: Where are you from?
SW: I was born and raised in Robin Hood Country (aka Nottingham), England. Meaning, I'm extremely sensitive about the whole "Robin Hood isn't real" theory and I'm probably not the best person to watch any Robin Hood film with, unless it's the Disney one which I think is quite accurate.

GS: What do you do?
SW: Right now I'm a Gap Year student. To which everyone answers, "So basically you sit around doing nothing." Which is partially true, although when I'm not "sitting around doing nothing" I volunteer at my local Oxfam store, working on vintage clothing. The rest of the time is spent between my large family and visiting my friends at University.

GS: How would you describe your sense of humor?
SW: I suppose it's quite typically British: sarcastic, dry and witty. With a little randomness thrown in.

GS: What's your favorite GiggleSugar post of all time? Your least?
SW: Any Family Guy post automatically rates highly in my eyes, I love all the mini Brian/Stewie story lines. In fact most videos featured I love, but one of my faves was the Cute Kids Wassup video. I also loved the Burger King 911 call (am I allowed to pick one that I bookmarked?), it was funny and sad at the same time. Oh, and I can't forget Squiffy the cat. (GS: I can't find Squiffy!) For the least I'd have to agree with Sticky - the man/dog (GS advertisement) creeped me out.

GS: Who's the cutest funny man and woman?
SW: I've had a huge crush on Johnny Knoxville since "Jackass" started, most of the stuff they did on the show made me cringe, but he reminds me a little of Brad Pitt's evil twin. My cutest funny woman would have to be Jessica Stevenson, a good friend and co-writer lady of Simon Pegg's (Shaun of the Dead and Hot Fuzz).

GS: Favorite male and female comedian?
SW: My most favourite overall comedian would have to be Lee Evans. He's the sort of person that if you knew him in real life would be completely irritating, but because you don't he's hilarious. A bit like a hyperactive child with the attention span of a flea. For the female, you can't go wrong with a little "French and Saunders".

GS: What's your favorite comedy of all time?
SW: This is so difficult. Well, on TV I've pretty much grown up on a staple diet of British comedies, my favourites being "Absolutely Fabulous", "Father Ted" and "Red Dwarf". All of which I've watched from an early age and probably shouldn't have. My favourite comedy films are probably Coming to America which is actually a family favourite and how I learnt how to do a few pretty convincing (in my opinion) accents, and Empire Records mostly because of the character Mark, whose personality reminds me of my friend Yos.

GS: If your life were a comedy, what would it be?
SW: Probably one of those comedies that doesn't end up running for a whole season, that nobody really understands. Although, there's a possibility it'd be a bit like Mr. Bean - following me doing my normal day to day tasks, unintentionally slapstick and with a few funny voices thrown in.

GS: Do you ever get told you look like someone?
SW: I did the Face Recognition thing (www.myheritage.com ) a while back and it told me I looked like the footballer Ronaldinho, which everyone thought was hilarious (but hopefully not true). When I was younger I got told I looked like Raven-Symoné and Susie from the "Rugrats" a lot. More recently I get told I look and sound like my mum, I even get mistaken for her on the phone - It's made a few phone calls very awkward.

Free-for-all. About me:
SW: Well I'm 19 years old, sort-of student. I spend most of my time with my younger brother and sister, writing, reading, listening to music and watching films. Personality wise I'd say I'm a bit like the girl in Police Academy who was really quiet most of the time, but shouted really loud when she was angry or excited.

GS: When are other GiggleSugar readers free to chat with you?
SW: Well, I'm normally on first thing the morning, which always seems to be around 3 AM California time. Other than that it's sort of hit or miss, but I reply to my Guestbook's and PM's so you can contact me there.

GiggleSugar Reader Spotlight: Maggie Mae

Don't let the skull and crossbones avatar fool you, Maggie Mae isn't that tough. This top-talker is a relatively recent GiggleSugar reader, but she's making up for lost time. Without further ado, Maggie Mae in her own words! (Don't forget to check out images in the gallery after the interview!)

GS: What's your motto?
MM: Don't drink the Kool-Aid. It's good because "Kool-Aid" can mean so many things. It's appropriate more times than you would think!

GS: Where are you from?
MM: Originally I am from a small town in Texas, but I moved to the DC area to go to college. I stayed for grad school, where I met my hubby. He's from DC, so we decided to stay.

GS: What do you do?
MM: I am an attorney at a pharmaceutical consulting firm. I manage, write and review all the contracts we do with big pharmaceutical companies. Gee...it sounds very serious when I write it down like that! I love my job, it can actually be a lot of fun. Have I mentioned I have an international paper clip collection?

GS: How would you describe your sense of humor?
MM: It can be dark and twisty, but I also see a lot of humor in the every day stuff that happens around me. I can really relate to Will Ferrell's comedy--especially after reading an article about his writing process. He says he writes most of his comedy based on the "unearned confidence man"--the guy who's really cool and cocky with no business being that way. I guess I see a lot of that in DC, so I really appreciate the humor in it.

GS: What's your favorite GiggleSugar post of all time?
MM: The Japanese clip with the swan suit guy at the party. (GS: Be sure to check out the pic of that swan toy attached to me!)I love the Japanese, they seem like they have such a sense of humor.

GS: Your least?
MM: When someone b*tches at Giggle. Come on people, lighten up! That's why you are reading a comedy page! It's a horse, and it dances. Seriously.

GS: Who's the cutest funny man and woman?
MM: Cutest funny man: it's a tie between Luke and Owen Wilson. They're brothers, don't make me choose. It could break one of their hearts. Cutest funny lady: Tina Fey. I love her. She brought back the sexy/funny geek in all of us.

GS: Favorite male and female comedian?
MM:Will Ferrell and Molly Shannon.

GS: What's your favorite comedy of all time?
MM: Hands down the Blues Brothers. Dan Aykroyd and Jon Belushi? Awesome. Dancing and singing with Aretha Franklin and Ray Charles? Awesome. Carrie Fisher toting a missile launcher trying to get back at her ex who left her at the altar? Hilarious.

GS: If your life were a comedy, what would it be?
MM: Probably a "noir" or darker version Seinfeld, based in DC. No laugh track.

GS: Do you ever get told you look like someone?
When I was about 11 a boy told me I looked like Chelsea Clinton (!) But since then I mostly get Kate Winslet. Although, I did run the "who do you look like" program online where you upload your picture and I got Queen Rania. Innnteresting.

Gigglesugar Reader Spotlight: Grl In The World

GiggleSugar's Reader Spotlight shines this week on grl in the world. This down-to-earth vegetarian pet lover (and wrangler!) provides some pithy one-liner comments that are often as funny as the posts themselves (not that I'm saying I'm that funny or anything...) So let's hear from grl in the world herself! And be sure to check out the image gallery after the interview.

GS: What is your motto? GITW: “If not for love, then what are we here for?” It basically sums up what I think life is all about: Loving and caring for your friends, family, pets, and the global community.

GS: Where are you from? GITW: I currently live in a small town in Ontario, Canada. However, I grew up in rural Ontario (red-neck country!) and that is what led to my strong aversions to cowboy boots, country music, and mullets!

What do you do?: GITW: Currently I stay at home pet wrangling while my boyfriend goes out and brings home the (veggie) bacon! I do the housework and most of the cooking, and try to make sure my non-vegetarian boyfriend submits to the lure of tofu at least once a week. He LOVES that .

GS: How would you describe your sense of humor? GITW: My sense of humour is pretty sarcastic most of the time. I can also be a big goof, especially around my siblings and my boyfriend. I’ve been known to make a bad pun every once in a while, just to make my boyfriend groan.

GS: What's your favorite GiggleSugar post? GITW: I couldn’t just pick one favorite GiggleSugar post, there have been so many I’ve really got a laugh out of! (GS: That's what we like to hear!) So my top picks would be the Taking Your Whale Tail for a Walk post and SNL clip Drew Barrymore Knows How to Work It. I also like the Kid Performs his Heart Out…at Best Buy where the boy sings the Queen song on web cam. I also LOVE all of the Pet of the Week posts. Everyone here has such adorable pets, I can’t get enough of them!

GS: Who's the cutest funny man and woman? GITW: Jon Stewart (I find his intelligence and humour very sexy ), and Tina Fey from SNL.

GS: Who are your favorite comedians? GITW: Jerry Seinfeld (love his show and his stand-up routines) and Ellen DeGeneres. She has a quick wit and a sincerity I appreciate.

GS: What's your favorite comedy? GITW:My favourite comedy movie is Something About Mary. I’ve watched it over and over and I’ll never stop loving it. It’s a good mixture of funny, sweet and silly.

GS: If your life were a comedy, what would it be? GITW: I can’t think of a comedy that is like my life, maybe "The King of Queens" if you threw 7 pets into the mix!

GS: Do you ever get told you look like someone famous? GITW: I don’t think I resemble anyone famous, but I went online to a website a friend told me about (www.myheritage.com) and uploaded photos of my boyfriend and me. Apparently we have a 67% similarity to former "One Tree Hill" couple Sophia Bush and Chad Michael Murray. That was good for a laugh.

Free-for-all. About me: I’m a pet obsessed vegetarian. I love spending time with my friends and family. My favorite things to do are going to the beach and camping (both things I’m pining for while enduring another unending Canadian winter!) I love checking in on PopSugar, GiggleSugar, and the rest of the Sugar network during the day, and have met some really sweet people since I first joined a few months ago. Shout-out to MaryW, redsox26, and my sister moondancer77!

We love our loyal readers here at GiggleSugar, and what a diverse group they are! So we decided to spotlight one each week. Get to know who your fellow readers are! And be sure to check out the photo gallery after the interview. So without further ado...introducing Superjules.

If you don't notice her crazy avatars first, you'll find yourself laughing at her wicked comments. Superjules does not mince words! She definitely represents the wild side of GiggleSugar, and we love that she appreciates that!

In Her Own Words:

GS: What's your motto? SJ: I have a couple of them tattooed on my person. One being Carpe Diem. Latin for "Where are my keys?!" Kidding, kidding. It means seize the day. The other is Per Aspera ad Astra. Latin for through the thorns to the stars. You can also see a few of my tattoos in a blog I made from my page.

GS: Where are you from? SJ: Don't tell anybody, but I grew up in the Yuba Sutter region of California. Well known for several things. Mass murderer Juan Corona. It's been rated by Rand McNally as the worst place to live in the US several times. The now defunct Prune Festival. Holla!

GS: What do you do? SJ: Currently I am a volunteer with the Red Cross at Landstuhl Army Medical Center in Germany where the wounded are brought from Iraq and Afghanistan. I work in the ER and I also have a therapy cat named Squishy that I take to visit people. See my page and watch us on the news!

GS: How would you describe your sense of humor? SJ: I would describe my sense of humor as black, twisted and cutting.

GS: What's your favorite GiggleSugar post of all time? Your least? SJ: I love the coffee commercial post. We don't get commercials over here and I can't believe it's real. It's completely disturbing on the one hand and really catchy and upbeat on the other. I don't know whether to sing along or hide under the bed (not that hiding would help!). Least? I'd have to say the flashing lights bra post. I'm epileptic and flashing lights cause me to have seizures. So if she was in a club and her boobs were flashing I'd be on the floor "break dancing."

GS: Who's the cutest funny man and woman? SJ: I love Tina Fey. I think she's adorable. She's whip smart and has that sexy librarian thing going. The cutest funny man, that's easy. Mitch Hedberg. He was so sexy with his hair and easy-going charm. I miss him. RIP Mitch.

GS: Favorite male and female comedian? SJ: I love so many funny men it's hard to choose just one. I would have to go with John Cleese. If you could put John Cleese's brain in Ed Norton's body you would have the perfect man for me. Er...except of course for my sweet, sweet husband. And female...I'm going out on a limb here and saying Eddie Izzard. I know he's not a female but he dresses as one. He is so sharp and so quick, if you're not fully paying attention, you miss something. And I find him terribly sexy even in fishnets and heels. Especially in fishnets and heels..

GS: What's your favorite comedy of all time? SJ: Monty Python's The Meaning of Life. I grew up watching that from about age 7. Where were my parents?

GS: If your life were a comedy, what would it be? SJ: I haven't seen the movie but I read the book and aren't books so much better? I would say Running With Scissors. It was a rough beginning but I turned out okay.

GS: Do you ever get told you look like someone? SJ: Rose McGowan. Mostly, though, people say I look like my daughter, she's actually a clone. (SJ's daughter is in the gallery below.)

GS: When are other GiggleSugar readers free to chat with you? SJ: I'm living in Germany so I'm 9 hours ahead of California and 6 hours ahead of New York. I'm online quite a bit looking up facts about everything from giant squids and furry caterpillars to photos of dead celebs. I am great to have on your team when playing Trivial Pursuit, a veritable wealth of useless knowledge.

GS: What’s your motto?
Anaise: Smile and smile some more.

GS: Where are you from?
Anaise: I was born in Mexico, am French by nationality (French dad, Mexican mom) and am American by culture.
Right now I live in Queens (Forest Hills), New York.

GS: What do you do?
Anaise: I am a consultant at UNDP (United Nations Development Programme), in the investigation section… he he.

GS: How would you describe your sense of humor?
Anaise: I’m mainly silly and mostly cute.

GS: What’s your favorite GiggleSugar post?
Anaise: The Landlord and Baby Puckers Up. My dream is to be a mommy, so kids get to me VERY easily….

GS: Who’s the cutest (best looking) funny man and funny woman?
Anaise: Jim Carrey and Ellen DeGeneres (it’s so true, there’s just something about her).

GS: Who are your favorite male and female comedians?
Anaise: Robin Williams and Tina Fey, I can’t help but crack a smile when I see her in the commercials… yikes.

GS: What’s your favorite comedy of all time?
Anaise: Just because I watched it so much when I was younger *blush*--The Mask.

GS: If your life were a comedy, what would it be?
Anaise: Groundhog Day. I can’t seem to get myself out of the hole I’ve dug myself into…

GS: Do you look like someone famous?
Anaise: Rosie Perez--that’s what my ex used to say. Now apparently I look like Ugly Betty. Hopefully they mean America Ferrera…

I love smiling; I can’t help but smile, when I’m happy, embarrassed and even sometimes when I’m sad (it helps in the cheering up process). I love to check out the GiggleSugar posts. GiggleSugar Reader Spotlight: Flippy

GiggleSugar megafan Flippy has the notable distinction of being both a former GiggleSugar Pet of the Week and now a reader of the week. If you'll recall, Flippy only recently learned how to read. Look out, because speaking tours aren't far behind. Flippy's one of the snarkiest felines out there, but what do you expect from a cat from New York City? Be sure to check out the image gallery at the end of the interview.

GS: What is your motto?
Flippy: “Never attribute to malice what can be explained by stupidity.” Either that or “Eat as much Pounce as possible as often as possible.”

GS: Where are you from?
Flippy: I’m not really sure. My childhood is a bit fuzzy. I remember wandering the city streets as a kitten, but then someone grabbed me and took me to some sort of holding cell. I was kept there for a few days and people would come to stare and fondle me. I tried to ignore them. Then some people came and took me to their trashy apartment. I have been kept inside ever since, though there have been some car rides and I believe a plane trip. I may have been taken over state lines. Still trying to figure it out.

GS: What do you do?
Flippy: Um, not too much. I sleep a lot. I look out the window. I like to play with string, and someone knitted me a mouse that never ceases to amuse. Periodically I get high. Then I eat. Then I sleep some more. I keep waiting for someone to tell me I need to do something more with my life, but no one ever does. I have been getting away with this for years. Chumps.

GS: How would you describe your sense of humor?
Flippy: Dry and sarcastic. You can really never tell if I’m kidding or not. Some people think I am judging them. Who knows? Maybe I am.

GS: What's your favorite GiggleSugar post?
Flippy: Well, of course Happy Caturday is always fun. Though really, every day is Caturday. I am also of course a fan of the practical joke, so Meanest Prank Ever gets me every time. Except the giant rat thing still makes me twitch in my sleep sometimes

GS: Who is the cutest funny man and funny woman?
Flippy: Humans aren’t very cute. You people don’t even have any fur. It’s creepy. But at least Julia Louis-Dreyfus has a good head of hair. As for men, I guess I’m stuck with Bruce Vilanch as far as fur goes. Except he’s not funny.

GS: Who are your favorite male and female comedians?
Flippy: I like Arnold Ziffle. And I loves me some Margaret Cho.

GS: What's your favorite comedy of all time?
Flippy: Cat People, starring Nastassia Kinski. That was HILARIOUS.

GS: If your life were a comedy, what would it be?
Flippy: Possibly The Devil Wears Prada. With me as Meryl Streep. Either that or Pink Flamingos.

GS: Do you look like someone famous?
Flippy: I have been told I look like Chococat. But I don’t see it.
