Can you believe it used to be against the law in America to have a nice cold beer or a refreshing glass of wine? I can't! Perhaps that's what future generations will say when they look back at some of our more moralistic laws, specifically those banning marijuana and gay marriage.

Looking around our Confession Booth group I discovered that one reader finds herself in a very awkward situation. Here's what she has to say:
"Last week, I went out with a few of my girlfriends for drinks and we all got a bit tipsy and headed back to one of their homes to sleep. I ended up on the floor next to an acquaintance, and we chatted before we went to sleep.

"I think for a long time I wasn't really out to myself growing up in Omaha, Nebraska, to a Catholic conservative family. It took me a while to come out to myself and not long after that I came out to them. I think that it really couldn't of been a better experience.

It appears that folks in Georgia aren't too fond of cross-dressers. We told you about a teen in Kennesaw who quit high school rather than stop cross-dressing, and now Martin Luther King, Jr.'s alma mater Morehouse College in Atlanta, GA has instituted a no dress-wearing clause to its larger dress code policy.
The "Appropriate Attire Policy," which already bans casual attire like do-rags and sagging pants, has now added dresses to the list of casual clothes its male students cannot wear.

Esquire's Stephen Marche thinks he's figured out the obvious explanation for the vampire craze sweeping the world. He writes:
Vampires have overwhelmed pop culture because young straight women want to have sex with gay men. Not all young straight women, of course, but many, if not most, of them.

Gay rights activists carried a rainbow flag at the US Capitol Building during yesterday's National Equality March. Thousands gathered in Washington DC to push the Obama administration and congress to live up to their promises to advance civil rights for gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgender Americans. The demonstrators called for marriage equality and the end to Don't Ask, Don't Tell.

On last night's show, Jon Stewart pondered whether gay people frighten Americans more than terrorists. Why else would Obama stall the repeal of Don't Ask, Don't Tell (DADT), turning away openly gay Americans ready to fight for the country?
The official word from the Obama administration is that they have too much on their plates right now to figure out how to let gay Americans serve in the military.
