Someone didn't study The Price Is Right strategy book before appearing on the show. When it came time to participate in the price war, she failed to maximize her bid, and — omigod — she won! She won!
Remember the game show contestants who scored big thanks to dumb luck? Well, factor out the luck and all we had was a whole bunch of dumb — which is the case with the following vid. The contestants below were under cruel time constraints, so their thinking was probably rushed and compromised.
When the clock is ticking and the cameras are rolling, the pressure to think quickly can make a contestant give the darndest answer, reveal a dirty little secret, or altogether blank out— on her husband's name. The following game show moments are so funny, "I think I'll have to take a P," Chuck. Har, har, har!
This actually looks fun. In what I'll call the "Clear or No Clear" game, players must leap through a cut-out shape on a quickly approaching wall to the other side. If they don't make it to the other side, they will be shoved into a shallow pool of water.
And I love him for it. This spectacularly talented and weird front man for Radiohead appeared on a game show in England and asked the panel a question about the band's most recent release, In Rainbows. He wanted to know what was special about it?
The clock is ticking, there are millions of viewers watching at home, and the pressure's on. So it completely baffles me how game show contestants feel comfortable enough to blurt out the first idiotic thing that comes to mind while on television-- as if they won't have to live this moment down for the rest of their lives! And no, a delicatessen is not a drug store.
This game show host (MTV's Kennedy) took a moment to speak up and get something off her chest. What exactly? Something about the contestant to the right and her tit-illating appearance.
It's not so much the game or the competitive spirit involved, it's the candid answers that make televised game shows so worthwhile to watch--especially when those answers hit a little too close to DUMB. Word to the Wise: If you make a habit of stealing lamps from hotel rooms, do yourself a favor and don't mention it on national TV! (Oh, and I heart Paul Lynde!)
We've already established that game show contestants say the darndest things and they also say the dumbest things-- so combine the two, and that's when the topic of one's "lucky bra" comes into play...
Game show peeps can give the dumbest answers, either cuz they buzz in before thinking, take a shot in the dark, or just don't know what a "decade" is. But as dumb luck would have it, some answers are so wrong, they're right. And some golf swings are so bad, the game show gods interfere and a miraculous hole-in-one appears.
