The Secretary of State unsuccessfully swats at the fly again and again, but the little bugger's presence results in a much more engaging interview. I mean, inquiring minds want to know: where will the enemy critter land next?

Man Lives on Plane to Overcome His Fear of Flying

The tragic news about the vanished Air France flight makes anybody's fear of flying seem rational, but one man recently determined that it was time to get over his. So what did Mark Malkoff do to overcome his debilitating fear of air travel? He decided to spend one month living on a plane, staying onboard while the jet is on the ground or in the air.

Some days Mark does up to 12 fights! I think his fellow passengers have more to fear, though - Mark plans on "showering" with baby wipes and dry shampoo. You can check out Mark in his new home in the above video.

Do you face any irrational fears in your daily life? Have you ever gone to extremes to overcome one?

Group Therapy: Fear of Flying!

Okay long story short. My boyfriend and I have been together for almost two years now and for Thanksgiving, his parents have invited us to come spend the holidays with them for a few days. I've meet his parents already, and we get along great! I'm very excited about meeting his sister and brother-in-law also and their two wonderful boys. I can't wait to go on this trip!

The problem is this, we live in Virginia and they all live in Texas. My boyfriend will only be able to get maybe a few days to a week off and I will only have like a week off from college. The drive from here to there would take many many hours there and back and have a major toll on both of us and we won't be able to spend more than one or two days with the family. So we've decide we're gonna have to fly down if we want to really enjoy this visit/vacation. I've never been on a plane and I have a major fear of flying! The invite from his parents is so sweet and I really do love them and my boyfriend and I don't want to let any of them down by backing out! What can I do, does anyone have any advice for me? Thank you all so much in advance!

I knew that headline would get your attention. Garry Kasparov, the legendary Russian chess player, has become an outspoken critic of President Vladimir Putin. What does this have to do with anything? Well, the following video shows a press conference he's having. The seriousness of the proceeding is interrupted . . . by a flying dildo. (You didn't think I was leading you on, did you?) His body guard or PR dude is not amused. (Man, that was a perfectly good sex toy you destroyed! Sheesh. Some people pay good money for that stuff.)

What the hell?! Was this thing dreamed up at Abu Ghraib? Can you imagine a more terrifying and/or annoying way of waking up than having an alarm go off which then propels this disk thingy to launch up and then fly around the room? The only way to get the alarm to stop is to catch that thing and put it back on the base. That sounds safe. And yet...there's a snooze function. Personally, I'd rather ease into my morning with the yummy smell of bacon.

A friend of mine went overseas for a long business trip, and since she wasn't going to be seeing her boyfriend for almost a month, she took her vibrator along for the ride.

Now I'm sure you can relate to missing your significant other - especially the lovemaking - but would you go as far as packing a vibrator in your carry-on?
