eBay Find of the Day: Family Guy Couch

For those of you who'll take anything that's free (you know who you are), have we got a find for you! Up for grabs and sitting in someone's yard for immediate pickup, the couch above, according to eBay has "been rained on like once or four times, and a couple bunny rabbits have tried to nibble on it, but then were like Whoa this isn't tender chutes this is a Couch, hop hoppity, hoppy-hop."

If the description isn't enough of a sale, the owner notes that this "brownish" sleeper couch looks a lot like the one in Family Guy. Lifestyles of the middle class and animated - who wouldn't want a piece of that? (For the record, this couch looks nothing like the one in Family Guy. See the pic below.) How could wisecracking Stewie - the see-all, hear-all, know-all toddler on Family Guy - have no knowledge of the "2 Girls, 1 Cup" Internet gross-a-thon? But he didn't. So Brian pounced on this naivety, conned the tyke into sitting in front of a computer, put a webcam to work, and hit play. Stewie's "reaction" was pretty darn adorable, of course. In a twisted sort of way.

The following may seem unlikely - but think again. A while ago, we overheard an immature 911 dispatcher crack a joke in the middle of some woman's urgent call for help. Funny? The makers of Family Guy thought so. They seized the opportunity to make a mockery of a necessary (not to mention life-saving) public service and came up with their own 911 debacle. Funny? When it happens in cartoon land, damn straight!

This dynamic "Family Guy" duo didn't hold back during their opening song and dance routine on last night's 2007 Emmy Awards. Stewie and Brian gave us more than a few reasons why "the wide selection of trash" on TV these days is not so bad after all. Frankly, I'm surprised they got away with being this candid. You gotta hand it to those nonexistent cartoon dudes-- they're darn gutsy! (Let us know whether it's "Love It or Leave It" material in this Buzz poll.)
