Unless you've been around an English literature department in the past 20 years or so, some of the critical theory courses below will probably seem ridiculous. Basically, the idea is, if it's part of culture, it's a text worthy of study. Although I agree with this, I also think it's probably worthy of a little ridicule! (FYI - I actually took one of these courses once upon a time!)
