While most criminals want the money in the cash register, the following dumbass broke into a store for the fat wad of cash stuffed in the employee tip jar. She also spilled the money all over the counter and then hurled herself into a glass door. So much for an escape plan.

Three criminals made a mad dash for freedom while in transit to prison. Although chained to each other, they thought they could outrun the police officers guarding them-- no problem. Their plan just might have worked, if it weren't for that damn stationary pole in front of them.

Showbiz Pizza's in-house robotic band, Rock-afire Explosion, always creeped me out as a kid. I recently stumbled across a music vid the group released for their cover of "Smooth Criminal" and thought I'd give the group another chance to redeem themselves. Big mistake.

I find the topic of sexual abuse in prisons both depressing and compelling. On "the outside," rape is viewed as the price a convict should expect to pay for his or her crime. References to prison in everyday conversations or popular culture (like this soap as promotional product for the TV show Prison Break) typically involve jokes about rape.

Popular Italian comedian Beppe Grillo combines Michael Moore and Stephen Colbert, Italian style. The latest issue of The New Yorker chronicles Grillo's quest to cure the Italian government of epidemic corruption. At massive rallies, Grillo calls out the 29 convicted criminals currently serving in the Italian Parliament or representing Italy in the European Parliament.
