eBay Find of the Day: Family Guy Couch

For those of you who'll take anything that's free (you know who you are), have we got a find for you! Up for grabs and sitting in someone's yard for immediate pickup, the couch above, according to eBay has "been rained on like once or four times, and a couple bunny rabbits have tried to nibble on it, but then were like Whoa this isn't tender chutes this is a Couch, hop hoppity, hoppy-hop."

If the description isn't enough of a sale, the owner notes that this "brownish" sleeper couch looks a lot like the one in Family Guy. Lifestyles of the middle class and animated - who wouldn't want a piece of that? (For the record, this couch looks nothing like the one in Family Guy. See the pic below.) Oh, the wonders of Craigslist! For a hefty price, take a load off with this one-of-a-kind, handmade, upholstered vajayjay. Not only is it comfy, but it's anatomically correct - clitoris headrest and all! This was someone's prized art school project, but the owner must do away with the couch cuz ~~the boyfriend got jealous~~ she no longer has space for it. And buyer beware: "the couch has some scuff marks and stains around the bottom. . ."

Forget channel surfing. These drunken couch potatoes thought it'd be fun to sofa surf instead, so they attached their couch to the bumper of an automobile and hit the streets of San Francisco. They made it surprisingly far (even through the Golden Gate Bridge!) before the police caught up with them. And their excuse for posing a threat to themselves and everyone around them is classic. If letter grades are involved, I'd give them a solid "D" for dumbass.

Berlusconi's Mistress Tells Us More Than We Need to Know

Italians really take their sex scandals to the next level. Today, Patrizia D'Addario, former call girl mistress to Italy's "I'm no saint" prime minister, adds a "lesbian dimension" to her tale of sex, power, and retaliation.

Patrizia has a book coming out and excerpts reveal that she has been the target of threats, robbery, and violence after going public about her affair with Silvio Berlusconi. But that's not stopping her. Describing a party held at Berlusconi's home, Patrizia shares the prime minister's preference for white silk pajamas and women who like other women. Patrizia writes:

"Other girls arrived, including a pair of lesbians, and a few other escorts. . . My first thought was that I'd found myself in a harem. He was on the couch and all of us, 20 girls in all, were at his disposition."

While the presence of lesbians probably seems relatively inconsequential, it might upset Italian citizens who were otherwise willing to dismiss heterosexual escapades. And as the Guardian reports, Berlusconi can say good-bye to a recent break from bad press: "The publication of D'Addario's book will divert public attention back to the affair after a period in which the focus had been on another sex scandal involving the former center-left governor of the region around Rome. Piero Marrazzo resigned after being filmed taking drugs and having sex with a transsexual." Mama mia.

Meditation, Anyone?

I've never done a lot of meditating, but I think it might be time to start. In these turbulent times, I know so many people who are looking for an anchor (or maybe a life preserver?) with nowhere to turn. Perhaps meditation can provide the peace that external influences seem bent on robbing us of these days. Do you meditate? If you do, what type of meditation? How has it helped you?

Handle This: Your Boyfriend Is Turning Into a Couch Potato

If you were put in a situation like this, how would you handle it?

Your live-in boyfriend had been holding onto his job for dear life for the past six months, but he unfortunately got laid off March 1. Thankfully you still have yours, but you don't make nearly enough money to hold down the fort for much longer. You're a little worried as the economy isn't getting any better, but you're confident that your boyfriend will do everything in his power to find something sooner rather than later.

His first week of unemployment was very productive, but he's since become increasingly lazy and negative. He's on the couch every night when you get home - beer in hand - and he hasn't worked out in days. While you know it's a tough market out there, this is very out of character for your boyfriend - he's a go-getter, not a couch potato! To make matters worse, whenever you try to talk to him about how he's feeling or offer advice or support, he snaps at you. It's a tough situation, so tell me, how would you handle it?
