Police Chase Stolen Doughnut Truck

The driver of a stolen doughnut truck gave Illinois police officers a run for their munchies last Friday. The 100 mph chase involved nine (!!!) police officers and finished 135 miles away from its starting point - which happened to be a hospital. And the driver? He was a patient on a mission to make a fast escape. The doughnuts were coincidental accomplices, but the dude was still charged with officer cruelty. For more on the story, click here.

Security Guard Takes His Job Seriously

In college, every worthwhile party gets a visit from local law enforcement. Whatever the complaint may be- too loud, too late, underage drinking- the police arrive to put a quick cap on the fun. But not this security guard. He came equipped with his own set of tunes, kicked off his shoes, and showed these kids how to really boogie. So much for safety. (Thanks, College Humor!)

Michael Bolton's not the only fool who doesn't know our national anthem. This cop also managed to severely (and publicly) botch the lyrics, but unlike Michael, he didn't have a decent singing voice to fall back on! It would have helped if he had made some use of those notes in front of him, but no-- that would have looked too unpatriotic. So he opened his mouth and this came out:

Cop Calls 911: Pot Brownies Freaking Him Out!

College Humor tells us that the guy calling 911 and freaking out because he ate pot brownies was a cop. Best lines? "Time is going by really, really, really slow" and "Please come...I think we're dying. We made brownies, and I think we're dead." Somewhere, there's a jealous pothead trying to trace this call...

Tuesday Musical Interlude: Human Bagpipes

These two cops are a couple of human bagpipes. How they discovered this twin talent, I don't know, but they sure are proud of it. Here they are - in the middle of what looks to be an officer meeting or training sesh - standing up, plugging their noses, and whacking themselves at the neckline. Even without kilts and knee highs, they look darn ridiculous. I'm sure their colleagues are impressed.

Traffic Cop Gets Down

We've seen dancing cops before, but this one has the nerve to boogie down right in the middle of traffic. Tony "The Dancing Cop" Lepore is a retired police officer from Rhode Island who voluntarily showcases his traffic-control choreography around the holidays each year. He shimmies to the beat of his own whistle and the crowds love him. It looks like someone retired a little too early. . . .
