Dear Sugar,

My boyfriend and I have been together for almost a year now. Our relationship was open from the beginning. He was allowed to sleep with other women as long as it was just sexual. Then we both fell for each other and agreed that the sleeping around should stop. After that, he continued to talk to other women online, insisting that they were just friends. I found pictures of other girls on his computer and copies of conversations. He admitted he made a mistake and that he would stop.

I believe him when he says he loves me, and I believe that he hasn't physically slept with another women since we talked about it many months ago, but I'm afraid that talking is an addiction and that he will never be able to stop. I've asked him why he does it, especially if he knows it hurts me, and he couldn't explain it. I told him to break up with me if he doesn't want to be with just me, but he swears that he wants to stay together. After this last time I said I'd give him one more chance, but I can't help but think that he's still doing it. I just can't seem to get myself to trust him, and I'm afraid I'm going to lose him because of it. What should I do?

Strong and healthy relationships are built on trust and respect, and I'm sorry to tell you this, but you have neither. If your boyfriend truly loved and cared for you, he wouldn't be chatting online with other girls. It doesn't matter that he's not physically cheating on you - he's doing it emotionally, which in my opinion is worse.

He's got to prove to you that he's being faithful. I know you're giving him another chance because you love him, but unless he makes a solid promise that he'll stop, you're always going to have that doubt in the back of your mind. You need to put yourself first here. Make sure you have a serious talk with him before continuing your relationship like this so you can be certain that his intentions are genuine.

Dear Sugar,

I love my husband very much, and he says he loves me too. The only issue is that he's 43 and says that since he's older than me (by five years), at his age he just isn't interested in sex with me, or with anyone for that matter. So why, if he says that, does he stay up all night long on the computer, going to porn sites and chatting online about sex? I just don't understand it. He says he is a horn dog but doesn't want to actually make love. Any advice?

Well I have to admit that this situation seems fishy, and there's got to be more to this story. If your hubby would rather look at porn online than have sex with you then there's got to be a reason why, besides the fact that he's older. I mean, he's obviously interested in sex if he's checking out porn every night, right?

Here are some questions to think about. Is he stressed out about work or something else? How was your sex life in the past? Did he seem satisfied? Were you satisfied? Was sex a chore, meaning did it take a lot of effort in order for either of you to climax? Was sex boring? Was he always interested in porn, or is this a new thing? Does he masturbate while watching porn?

The only way you are going to get to the bottom of this is to talk to him openly and get those questions answered. Explain that it really upsets you that he'd rather look at porn, and that you wish you two would have sex more often. Try to figure out ways to compromise. Maybe you guys can incorporate pornography into your lovemaking. Or maybe he can explain what he needs you to do in order to get aroused. Talking about it will make you both feel better and will hopefully give you insight into what your husband is feeling. Good luck, Hannah.

People find true love in all kinds of situations. At the bus stop, at work, on line at a coffee shop, at parties, at bars, you name it. So what if you've exhausted all those options and are still on the singles scene?

Luckily there are always online dating services and there are many to choose from: Match.com, eHarmony, JDate, Matchmaker (cute name), PerfectMatch, Great Expectations, and Yahoo! Personals just to name a few.

These services do all the work for you. You can simply sign up, make a profile, and they'll send you emails telling you about people you are compatible with based on your interests. The idea is brilliant actually, and it makes meeting new people pretty easy if you're game. Two of my friends are actually in long term relationships with men they met through one of these services. So I definitely think they're worth a shot.

So I'm wondering, have you have ever signed up for an online dating service? If so, have you met anyone? Do you think they're a good idea or a bad idea?

According to PC Magazine, the average person has up to 6 different passwords
The most popular passwords are the word itself, password, ABC, 123, letmein, animal names, birthdays, and family members names, which are way too obvious, so think outside the box so your passwords won't get cracked
When creating a password, aim for caps as well as lowercase letters, numbers, and symbols. The more characters you have, the harder it will be for a predator to get a hold of your personal information. Don't pick a word that someone can easily figure out - for instance, if you're a swimmer, do not use POOL, or SWIM as your password
Although it might seem safe and smart to use the same password for every application, don't be fooled - it is actually not safe at all. If someone cracks one password, chances are they will attempt to use the same one on other systems, which can get you into big trouble
It is recommended to change your password every 90-120 days. Since it can be hard to keep track of these every changing passwords, find a safe place to keep them written down (not in your work notebook or under your keyboard!)

If you've ever used Microsoft Word, then you've encountered "Clippy," the little paper clip that bounces to attention when "you look like" you're having difficulty doing something. With big, blinking eyes and brows that just won't quit, Clippy continually pops up to help you troubleshoot. Clippy doesn't take "no" for an answer and has a tendency to get beyond annoying. Unfortunately, he isn't any more helpful in real life.

Where the Ladies At? Fewer Girls Going Into Computer Science

The number of girls interested in computer science peaked in 1982. Yes, 26 years ago, before people even had computers at home. After a sharp decline, it held steady until 2000 and now it’s at an all-time low - back to where it began in the early ‘70s.

Why? That was the funny part of the New York Times article "What Has Driven Women Out of Computer Science." Nobody actually knows. But everybody speculates! Here’s what was said:

Before the male subculture of gaming, women felt more comfortable pursuing computer science.
The girls game movement of the '90s backfired: It made girls think computers were boy toys and girls didn’t play with computers.
Women went into web design so it all evens out. Nope. Web design and other “nontraditional” forms of computer science don't count to the people counting. The pay is less and the work is less influential on how computers are used.
The perception of being a “geek” or “nerd” that comes with majoring in computer science The theory? Girls don’t want to be that person. I know a geek who would disagree!

The one thing everyone can agree on is that the younger girls are when introduced to computers, the better. Expect to see video games for newborns soon!

Computer Games a Threat to Bhutan's New Democracy?

The Asian nation of Bhutan has banned members of parliament from bringing laptops to work since they apparently cannot control their urge to play computer games. The lawmakers in the new democracy reject the accusation, saying that their computers are needed and do not distract them from their work. But their protests do not compute with the National Assembly's Speaker credited with the ban, reports BBC.

Eating, smoking, and other electronic gadgets are also banned at the National Assembly. The isolated Himalayan country just got Internet and television nine years ago, and held its first elections last March. A Bhutanese contingency traveled to Washington, DC, this week, with plans to introduce the small Buddhist constitutional monarch to America.
