Carla Bruni's daughter Giulia made her debut this morning while out for a walk with proud dad Nicolas Sarkozy. The happy family went for a stroll and enjoyed the beautiful Fall day on the grounds of the presidential home. Little Giulia is just 12 days old, having entered the world on Oct. 19. To celebrate the arrival of the first baby born to a ruling French couple in office, we took a look back at Carla Bruni and Nicolas Sarkozy's cutest moments.

In the past, Carla has been clear that she'd like to keep her newborn as out of the spotlight as possible. Nonetheless, she announced the little one's name last week and made a quick statement. Carla said, "I am deeply touched by the many messages of congratulations that I have received since the birth of our daughter Giulia. On this happy occasion, my husband joins me in expressing our warmest thanks to all those of you who sent us these tokens of your kindness."

For the first time in history, the French presidential palace is hearing the pitter-patter of baby feet! Carla Bruni and Nicolas Sarkozy welcomed a daughter at a private clinic in Paris this evening. The baby is the first for the couple - the couple each have children from previous relationships: Carla's son Aurelien, 10, and Nicolas's children Pierre, 26, Jean, 25, and Louis, 14 - and is also the first baby born to a sitting French president. We admired the French first lady's buttoned-up maternity style as she went about her official government business, as well as her bikini style while on vacation. We can't wait to see the first daughter's sure-to-be impeccable style now! Congratulations!

It's the first child the first couple of France has had together, although they both have children from previous relationships and Nicolas Sarkozy is also a grandfather. Nicolas married Carla, a singer and former Italian top model, in 2008 at the Élysée Palace. He was already president, and recently divorced, when they began dating, and their brief courtship grabbed headlines. Even so, they don't plan on being public with their new addition. Carla has said they won't release a picture of their daughter, something she doesn't believe the French public is interested in anyway. Carla Bruni gave birth to a baby girl in Paris today. The child is Carla's first with her husband, French President Nicolas Sarkozy, though both have children from previous relationships. Carla has one son, Aurelien, who is 10, while Nicolas is also father to 26-year-old Pierre, 25-year-old Jean, and 14-year-old Louis. Carla and Nicolas have not released a name and apparently don't plan to share an official photo of their daughter either.

We saw pregnant Carla in a bikini over the Summer just a few days before the couple confirmed the pregnancy in July. Congrats on their new addition!
