180 people have perished in Australia's devastating bushfires, and furry little koalas have not been spared the tragedy. Here's a ray of sunshine in these sad days: The bewildered female Koala, Sam, who we saw being given water by the Australian firefighter, now has someone to comfort her. Bob the Koala, who, like Sam, also suffered severe burns, is hanging out with her while they both recuperate.

- 250 schoolchildren and teachers taken hostage in Pakistan and held for seven hours, have been released this morning. Seven militants armed with rocket launchers used the school and the children as a refuge after an attempt to kidnap a local health official. The incident occurred near the border with Afghanistan where Pakistanis have been fighting with the Taliban and al-Qaeda.

Ever since I was a little girl, after my Mom died (I was 10), I've talked too much! Even my young friends were annoyed! Why do I do this, and what can I do to stop?
