Researchers like to use the scientific method to test stereotypical behavior. The latest stereotype they want to prove? That men tend to stare at women's breasts. Did they prove it? Well, sort of.

In a new study, 47 percent of the men fixated first at a woman's chest upon seeing her. Another third of the male participants glanced first at the waist and the hips, while another 20 percent looked at a woman's face first.

The need for proper breast support is not something I face on a nightly basis, but according to this commercial, gravity causes one breast to rest on top of the other (oh no!) resulting in discomfort, cleavage wrinkles, and improper spine alignment for well-endowed women. Luckily, there's a plastic cylinder on the market that offers its support.

The ad for Kush Support calls it a "comfortable nighttime companion," which makes one think that "breast supporter" is just a euphemism for a more kinky plastic cylinder device! Either way, it better do something magical - it costs $55!

Would sleeping with this thing between your breasts help you get a better night sleep?

Breasts: They’re Not Just There to Titillate

"I put these pictures out on Facebook to put a message out to women – check your breasts regularly and do not ever be ashamed of a mastectomy. For Facebook to claim they were ‘sexual and abusive’ was absurd. There is nothing sexual about them."

After 45-year-old cancer survivor Sharon Adams underwent a mastectomy, she decided that the best way to raise awareness was to post her mastectomy scar on Facebook. The picture is graphic, scary, and far removed from the airbrushed soft core porn images of breasts we see everyday. In a way, it was her personal public service announcement to women.

This sounds remarkably similar to the furor they created when breastfeeding photos were taken down and Facebook spokesperson Barry Schnitt said, "Photos containing a fully exposed breast (as defined by showing the nipple or areola) do violate those terms (on obscene, pornographic or sexually explicit material) and may be removed."

Adams won in the end, and Facebook issued an apology after nearly 900 furious people joined an online group calling for the ban to be lifted.

These cases bring up an interesting issue about gender and representation. There seems to be only one prevailing meaning of the female breast - it's "obscene, pornographic or sexually explicit" because that's the way it's represented in our culture. When a woman presents a nonsexual image of breasts, in the context of certain women's issues - motherhood, illness and recovery - there's a refusal to see it from her point of view.

When Facebook told Sharon Adams her mastectomy scars were "abusive," maybe they meant abusive to men who only want to see breasts that turn them on.

Where Do You Stand? Cutesy Names For Your Private Parts

I'd like to think I know a thing or two about sex and erogenous zones on males and females, but over the weekend I heard a new term that made me scratch my head - sweater kittens. For those of you in the dark with me, it's an affectionate nickname for a woman's breasts. You can use your imagination as to why they're called that, but it got me thinking about using cutesy names for your private parts. A friend of mine calls a guy's business "twig and berries," and I've also heard the term "bits and pieces" thrown around. Tell me, are you into using nicknames for your private parts, or do you think it's completely immature?

That's not to say you should sit him down and talk it out - you might shatter his ego and scare him off - but if you're a verbal person, the next time you're getting it on, try suggesting things for him to do (in a sexy voice) that does turn you on. Not only will it redirect his hands, but some guys love it when a girl tells them what to do!

If talking about it makes you feel uncomfortable, or you're worried about it ruining the mood, gently use your hands to communicate your needs. Slide his hand down and place it on your hip, or flip your body around and change positions so his hands are forced to switch positions too. Whatever you do, don't just put up with the groping. Some guys need a little direction so if he doesn't appreciate the guidance, then he may not be the guy for you.

Dear Sugar,

I am 24-years-old and I have a very small frame. I've been insecure about my small breasts since I was a teenager. I know that many women have these insecurities as well and I've have thought about breast augmentation, but I really don't want to go through something so severe and invasive. Recently, I have been looking into herbal supplements that claim to increase breast size. I feel like if these supplements really did work, everyone would be on them. Do you have any other natural suggestions or advice for myself and other women who share the same insecurities as I do?

Dear Flat Chested Christina,

Having insecurities about your chest size is completely normal, but keep in mind that although the media makes us all think men are only attracted to buxom, curvaceous woman, that's actually far from the truth. You mentioned that you have a small frame, so it sounds like your chest is pretty proportional to your body type.

No matter what I tell you, it's important for you to feel secure about yourself and the way you look. You're probably right about the herbal supplements: If they really did work, people wouldn't spend thousands of dollars for augmentations, so wearing a padded bra might be a better idea! Just because you're not very busty, it doesn't mean you can't show off what you do have. Try wearing clothing that accentuates your assets - maybe you have amazing legs, arms, or even a great butt.

If at the end of the day, implants are still something you want to consider, by all means go for it. Consult a doctor and weigh your options, but don't make any rash decisions. As I'm sure you know, undergoing elective surgery is risky and not something that should be taken lightly, so make sure your 150 percent sure of your decision. Oh, and for the record Christina, I happen to know many men and women who are more attracted to women with smaller breasts!

Dear Poll: How Often Do You Go Braless?

I happen to have a bigger chest, and while it can be great to have boobs sometimes, it can also be a burden. I'd love to wear backless dresses or tank tops without a bra, but I just can't get away with it. I'm always jealous of the girls that can and while I certainly wouldn't want to do it every day, it would be a thrill to leave the bra at home every once and awhile. So tell me ladies, how often do you go braless?

The Dumbest of Dumbass Tattoos

As if the tattoo isn't despicable enough, the owner of it paid to get tiny little implants inserted into his leg - directly beneath Carmen Sandiego's ginormous breasts. Imagine that, his tattoo is "a real girl" now! The only thing missing is a training bra. But seriously, someone needs to give this punk a swift kick to the left shin, followed by another kick to the groin. What a douche.

What Do You Think About Guys Who Stare at Your Chest?

Many years ago, I had a first date with a guy I knew from college. While we talked over coffee, he kept glancing down at my chest. I wasn't wearing a tight or low-cut shirt, but he seemed pretty interested in my breasts. I really didn't know what to do since I didn't think there were actual guys who did this. I made up some excuse about having to leave because of a paper I totally forgot about and booked it out of there, pronto.

Later that week I ignored his emails asking whether we could see each other again. Finally, I emailed him back and said flat out, "Why, so you can stare at my chest some more? I don't think so!"
