Breastfeeding moms looking to avoid jail time might want to switch their kids to bottles if they're hitting the bottle themselves. A mother in North Dakota was arrested recently for breastfeeding while intoxicated. Police said that they could have arrested the drunk mother for endangering her child even if she wasn't breastfeeding, but is it really fair to arrest a mom for being drunk?

I really get a kick out of the pregnancy myths floating around, like you can't get pregnant if you pee after sex, two condoms are better than one, and, of course, that you can't get pregnant while breastfeeding. A good friend of mine actually had to learn this one the hard way — she got pregnant while nursing her 10-month old son!
Using breastfeeding as contraception is known as lactational amenorrhea method (LAM), but since it's not 100 percent effective, you shouldn't rely on it unless you don't mind getting pregnant soon after giving birth.

Whether you're for or against breastfeeding, moms all over the world are nursing their babies, many are doing it in public, and some have even posted pictures of themselves breastfeeding on Facebook. It turns out that Facebook isn't OK with that and has placed a ban on posting such photos on its site. If women ignore the rule, Facebook will take the pictures down.

The "East Coast Spokesman" for Citizens Against Breast-feeding is a hoot. He appeared on several news segments about public breastfeeding a few years back to vocalize his reasons for being anti. Watch the segment below and try not to laugh.

Breastfeeding is a personal decision. Some women swear by it, while other mothers prefer to bottle feed their babies. While there are many health benefits to breastfeeding, it's not right for everyone.

It's recommended by the American Academy of Pediatrics that babies should be breastfed for the first year of their life. While most women don't end up completing the entire year, a lot of them at least give it the old college try.
Some new moms say breastfeeding is more painful and tedious than giving birth while others feel it gives them the best opportunity to bond with their baby.
