Changes in breast size happen often in a woman's life. Her chest can shrink or grow when she goes on or off hormonal birth control, gains or loses weight, and when she becomes pregnant or stops breastfeeding. It's just part of the fun of being a woman I guess! I'm curious to know whether or not you're happy with your girls so tell me, when it comes to your breasts, would you rather . . .

The How-To Lounge: Buying a Bra That Fits!

In case you didn't know, it's National Bra Fit Week! Since Susan Nethero, an expert bra fitter, says that 85 percent of women in America wear the wrong size bra, what better time than now to help you all find one that does? So if you're still buying the same size bra you wore in college or if you're wearing bras you owned before your pregnancy, it's time for you to go bra shopping!

To see some helpful tips read more

Get measured by a professional. Go to any department store's lingerie department and ask for a proper bra fitting.

The band (the part that goes around your back) provides 90 percent of the support, so make sure to measure your ribcage carefully. You can wear your clothing to take this measurement, but don't wear a bulky sweater or jacket. It's better, really, to not wear any clothes at all. These ladies have seen it all before so don't be shy!

Make sure to secure the bra on the last hook (the loosest notch) when trying it on, because your bra will stretch with wear and you'll need the ability to tighten it later. Make sure the band fits snugly, but not so that it creates a back roll.

Slip your shirt or blouse back on so you can be certain the bra looks and fits well under your clothing.

When determining your cup size, bend over at the waist and shimmy your way into the bra. This will evenly distribute your weight into cups.

If the band of your bra rides up your back, it's the wrong size. The straps of your bra should not slip from your shoulders or dig into them. Straps should be about 10 percent of the support; remember, 90 percent of the support comes from the band.

While there's a time and a place for sexy lingerie, your everyday bra should be about comfort and support. If you're wearing a bra that's too small and you spill out of the cup, you could be causing a loss of firmness - and you don't want to smash your breast tissue! Also, if you're wearing a bra that you can't fill out, you could be causing stretch marks, so the proper size really is more important than you think! And if you'd like a brief lesson on the history of the bra, check out what our friends at the Frisky have to say!

The How-To Lounge: Buying a Bra that Fits!

According to Susan Nethero, an expert bra fitter, 85% of women in America wear the wrong size bra. Odds are, this means you. Are you still buying the same size bra you wore in college? Are you wearing bras you owned before your pregnancy? Is it time for you to go bra shopping? Hopefully I can help you make the best choices.

To see some helpful tips read more

Get measured by a professional. Go to any department store's lingerie department (as you know, I'm a big fan of Nordies) and ask for a proper bra fitting

The band (the part that goes around your back) of your bra provides 90% of the support, so make sure to measure your ribcage carefully. You can wear your clothing to take this measurement, but don't wear bulky clothes. It's better, really, to not wear any clothes at all. These ladies have seen it all; don't fret

Make sure to secure the bra on the last hook (the loosest notch) when trying it on, because your bra will stretch with wear and you'll need the ability to tighten it. Make sure the band fits snugly, but not so that it creates a back roll

Slip back on your shirt or blouse so you can be certain the bra looks and fits well under your clothing

When determining your cup size, bend over at the waist and shimmy your way into the bra. This will evenly distribute your weight into cups

If the band of your bra rides up your back, it's the wrong size. The straps of your bra should not slip from your shoulders or dig into them. Straps should be about 10% of the support; remember, 90% of the support comes from the band

While there's a time and a place for sexy lingerie, your everyday bra should be about comfort and support. If you're wearing a bra that's too small and you spill out of the cup, you could be causing a loss of firmness. Don't smash your breast tissue, ladies. If you're wearing a bra that you can't fill out, you could be causing stretchmarks on your breasts.

Happy shopping, and don't forget to bring along these tips. Good luck!

You Asked: Is There Anything I Can Do?

Dear Sugar,

I am 24-years-old and I have a very small frame. I've been insecure about my small breasts since I was a teenager. I know that many women have these insecurities as well and I've have thought about breast augmentation, but I really don't want to go through something so severe and invasive. Recently, I have been looking into herbal supplements that claim to increase breast size. I feel like if these supplements really did work, everyone would be on them. Do you have any other natural suggestions or advice for myself and other women who share the same insecurities as I do?
- Flat Chested Christina

Dear Flat Chested Christina,

Having insecurities about your chest size is completely normal, but keep in mind that although the media makes us all think men are only attracted to buxom, curvaceous woman, that's actually far from the truth. You mentioned that you have a small frame, so it sounds like your chest is pretty proportional to your body type.

No matter what I tell you, it's important for you to feel secure about yourself and the way you look. You're probably right about the herbal supplements: If they really did work, people wouldn't spend thousands of dollars for augmentations, so wearing a padded bra might be a better idea! Just because you're not very busty, it doesn't mean you can't show off what you do have. Try wearing clothing that accentuates your assets - maybe you have amazing legs, arms, or even a great butt.

If at the end of the day, implants are still something you want to consider, by all means go for it. Consult a doctor and weigh your options, but don't make any rash decisions. As I'm sure you know, undergoing elective surgery is risky and not something that should be taken lightly, so make sure your 150 percent sure of your decision. Oh, and for the record Christina, I happen to know many men and women who are more attracted to women with smaller breasts!

The How-To Lounge: Shop for the Perfect Bathing Suit

Summer is just a few weeks away, so it's time to get ready for fun in the sun! Chances are you are going to find yourself at the beach or at a poolside BBQ in the next few months, so I am here to offer some no fail tips to keep in mind when you shop for your new swimsuit. No matter what your size or shape, there is a suit out there to flatter every figure so read more

Avoid shopping for swimwear on the Internet. Most swimsuits are non-refundable so I advise you to shop in person

No matter what size you are, ignore the tag and concentrate on the fit. Just like fitting a bra, you want to make sure the straps don't dig into your shoulders or ride up your back

Regardless of your shape, buy a suit that accentuates your good assets and hides your less favorite parts of your body

If you have a curvy figure...

Avoid ruffles and busy prints. Obviously black is the most flattering color, but don't be afraid to experiment. Use color to your advantage and wear darker tones where you carry the most weight

If you choose to go for a two piece, don't be afraid to show some skin. Some women gravitate to pieces that "hide" their problems areas, where as wearing less can oftentimes be more flattering

If you have a large bust, be sure to wear a top that provides ample support. Halter tops (bikini and one pieces) are the most flattering cut for top heavy women and V-neck is a close second. Stay away from one pieces without built in support and bandeaus

Tankinis are a great option for women who want more coverage without giving up the two piece option. Make sure the top is long enough so it doesn't ride up your stomach

If you are pear shaped...

Don't hide your hips accentuate them! Choose tie sides for easy adjustment and avoid bottoms with extra coverage, you are bound to look bigger that way

If you choose a bikini, opt for a lower raise bottom to create an elongated torso

Stay away from boy shorts and one pieces with tank top straps. Pick v-neck, halter or strapless instead to balance out your curves

If you need extra coverage in the midsection, buy a suit with rushing or pleats and opt for a higher cut thigh if you feel comfortable

Avoid shiny suits as they pick up light and have the ability to show everything

If you have a straight/boy shape...

If you need help creating curves, choose suits with ruffles and extra detailing to create more volume up top

Again, use color and prints to create shape. Stay way from boxy suits, instead wear cuts that are feminine and create the illusion of more curves

Stripes are another good way to play up curves

If you prefer one pieces, pick a low cut front and or back to avoid the Speedo look

If you pick a top with extra padding, make sure they are securely sewn in as they will absorb excess water

I hope you find these tips helpful. Regardless of your size or shape, the one thing to remember to take to the beach is your confidence... oh, and sunscreen! Happy shopping!

Any good ideas appart surgery?

Dear Sugar, I have tiny breasts. I mean, minuscule. They barely fill up a size A bra. I usually accept myself the way I am but this is awful for a 21 year-old woman. Do you have any ideas (apart from plastic surgery) to make my breasts look a bit bigger(Nothing drastic though. I don't want it to look too fake)?
Does Fashion Have An Age Limit?

Dear Sugar
I'm always torn when it comes to fashion. What I like and what I think I should wear are in conflict with each other. I'm 45, but have a toned, slender body (5'7", size 4 or 6). Am I too old to wear a bikini? Will I look like a 45 year old trying to look 25 if I wear a mid leg skirt, mid leg dress or shelf bra spaghetti strapped shirt? Thanks for your help! Fashion Challenged

Dear Fashion Challenged
No, I don't think that you are too old to wear anything if you look good in it! But with age comes maturity, so just make sure that you aren't wearing half shirts and micro mini's. If your boobs are a C cup or below the shelf tanks are great. But no one wants to see double d's spilling out that need a heck of a lot more support than a strip of spandex. It really just comes down to being honest with yourself. Are you a Teri Hatcher, Michelle Pfeiffer type - or are you a Kathy Bates? If your bod is like Teri's, then I say wear the bikini and the cute tank tops! She looks fabulous for her age and deserves to show it off. So should you, just choose flattering clothes if you are going to dress sexy.
