This week, the US House approved a measure implementing national standards on juvenile boot camps intended to rehabilitate troubled youth.
The bill passed 318-103, and would nix excessive "tough love" practices like withholding water, food, clothing, shelter or medical care. The new law would allow physical restraint only when the safety of the child or others is in peril, and it would allow residents reasonable access to a telephone.

Earlier this week, 181 women jumped from nine planes to set the word record for most women jumping in skydiving formation. The jumpers, from more than 26 different countries, came together to raise money for breast cancer research, as October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. They included breast cancer survivors, their families, and friends.

Young and in love (or lust?) with no place to knock boots? If you have extra cash and live in Japan, there are a multitude of love hotels available for trysting — even a Titanic themed hotel for those who believe their love will go on.
There are about 25,000 love hotels in Japan and even in a bad economy, business is booming.

Hey, it happened to me, and with all the high drama going on, I had no problem with it. I wasn't even booted as much as downgraded from maid of honor to bridesmaid. And, honestly, with an already-too-tight-dress, I didn't want to be anywhere closer to the center of attention.
