I'll never read it, so I really have no opinion on the matter. I have no doubts that Bono is probably more informed on these issues than most politicians, but he's just not someone who interests me no matter what the message is.

I adore Bono and I will most definitely be reading these. He does a lot of good for the world.

I would read his articles b/c he seems to be well informed about a lot of issues and he seems pretty genuine.

I respect him because he comes across as someone that was inspired to help others, and then took the time to educate himself and learn as much as he could so he could be most effective.

His music has documented his care and concern for people, all the way back to the begining of his career. He's not a celebrity that just woke up one day and thought it would be cool to do a charity event, spent 1 day doing a photo op and then went back to ignoring those in need.

Why not Bono? Should editorials just be written by rich business people or politicians or people who sit around at think tanks all day thinking of stuff to write editorials about? Bono's as well-informed and dedicated as anyone else who gets time in the newspapers.

I'll definitely be reading Bono's column.

I'm sure lots of people who write editorials have vacation pictures they hope don't become public. They seldom reflect in an important way on their understanding of world issues.

moisville i saw that yesertday..it does kind of gross me out. But to each his own i guess. The wird thing i found about it is one of the girls in the picture said "We've been friends for a long time now!"..um ok...since when? age 12? eew...

Given Bono's now decades of work in Africa and other poor communities around the world including here in the U.S.. Given the fact that if Bono wants an audience with the President and many other world leaders they make the time and given the fact that he issues his opinions in a reasonable thoughtful way he is the perfect celebrity if there ever was one to share his thoughts on the world today in the N.Y. Times.
