Featuring finches, lories, and parakeets behind a delicate copper wire, the Anthropologie Songbird Chandelier ($798) is a bit gimmicky, but I can still definitely see its appeal. It would look great along with some busy, bird-themed wallpaper - like the one in Domino editor Rita Konig's foyer. But for a piece that requires a very specific design scheme, I certainly wouldn't spend nearly $800.

If the name Liz Carey sounds familiar to you, it's probably because you've seen the model/actress walking the runways of Alexander McQueen or Versace. Oscar ain't your average cutie patootie cockatoo. She has a tendency to make peeps feel uncomfortable, rather than happy and sappy all over, but she can't help it. Room Therapy: I Need to Find a Birdcage!

CocoAngel recently posted in the CasaSugar group with a decorating quandary, and I thought that you might be able to help her out. She writes, "I'm just finishing up redecorating my daughter's room and having trouble finding accessories, specifically a bird cage. She changed her bed spread to this birds and bird cages design (see left), so a black-wire bird cage would be a fantastic item to add to the room. Anyone seen bird cages in the major chains or online somewhere?"

My favorite bird cage finds are from Rose and Radish. This cute boutique offers bird cages in white, turquoise, blue, and red so your daughter would have a variety of colors to choose from. While they aren't black, they do complement the colors in the bedding quite well. I'm especially partial to this Wetter Indochine Pagoda Birdcage ($51). If you're not sold on these, you can also find some gold-colored antique metal bird cages ($11.99), which are often used for wedding favors. These could be spray painted with black paint, though given the amount of spindled metal on the cage, it might be a bit of a task! Anyone else have suggestions for CocoAngel?
