VH1 May Cancel Best Week Ever - Would You Miss It?

Best Week Ever, VH1's weekly show skewering pop culture, may be on its way out. At the very least, the show will be off the air till January 2010 (though its companion, Best Day Ever, is scheduled to return in the Fall). Even host Paul F. Tompkins, who took over the show solo late last year, says he doesn't know what VH1 is thinking and the show's staff - including him - can't wait until 2010 for work.

Since Best Week Ever typically doesn't take months off at a time, there's speculation that this is the end for the show, which started in 2004. Then again, maybe it will just reinvent itself and come back in a new format. But I'm wondering what you think: Has Best Week Ever run its course? Or is there still life in the idea?

Leslie Nielsen from the awesome comedy Airplane! reunited with his cast members on the Today show. But it was hard to focus on what people were saying (Leslie included) because of the fart sounds. As Best Week Ever asked, does Leslie carry a fart machine around with him? Who among us is cool enough to do that? No one.

Oprah Makes a Wise "Crack"

I'm confused: is this daytime television or HBO after dark? This week, Oprah hosted a powwow on sex and things sure got steamy! From erotica to open marriages to sex after 60, Oprah covered it all. It's just too bad she didn't cover her mouth in the following clip. The joke was begging to be told, but I'd rather not imagine strange adults doing unmentionables on a golf course late at night- and I don't think I'm alone here. (Thanks, Best Week Ever!)

Maybe you guys should improve your service first. Girlfriend here was pulled aside and almost kicked off a Southwest Airlines flight for dressing like some kind of a sorority girl. Yeah, so her skirt's a little skimpy and her legs are a little long-- big deal. What I love is how her mother totally defends the integrity of the outfit, while her lawyer uses Paris Hilton as a point of reference in her defense. Real convincing, dude.
