President-elect Barack Obama has topped Barbara Walters's list of the Most Fascinating People of 2008. The ABC special aired last night, and last year the honor of Most Fascinating Person went to Harry Potter author JK Rowling. While many people probably agree that Obama is the most fascinating figure of the year, it's somewhat surprising that his opponent John McCain did not make the list.

Oh, these classic ladies of comedy! Gilda was one of the first female stars on Saturday Night Live to show that boys weren't the only ones who could steal the show. From her character Roseanne Rosannadanna, the narcissistic news anchor, to her amazing impersonation of punk legend Patti Smith, Gilda was rad.

One thing I love about The View is how the ladies never fail to gang up on Barb. When our gal in tie-dye (Whoopi) makes the unfortunate decision to talk threesomes, Barbara proposes to take an informal poll on who's "done it." All of the ladies seize the opportunity to quickly turn the question on Barb.

I love how all the ladies on The View have been giving "the great" Barbara Walters a hard time about any and every embarrassing unmentionable on the planet. From Barb's peculiar public bathroom behavior to her one-night stand bedroom behavior, these women have discussed it. And discussed it.

Barbara has a phobia of getting locked inside public restroom stalls, so she she avoids them at all costs. But when she must journey into a bathroom, she keeps the door unlocked! Am I the only one frightened by this tidbit of TMI?

I've often thought that "The View" was an embarrassment to women, and this clip certainly doesn't change my mind. The new co-host Sherri Shephard told her other co-hosts that she doesn't know if the earth is round or flat. Either this comedian I've never heard of has her "straight face while telling a joke" down flat (pardon the pun), or she's dumb as bricks.

After crashing their private jet, The Superficial Friends find themselves stranded in Malawi where they notice that the locals have really fabulous dark tans. Luckily, they discover a nearby tanning parlor to bronze themselves brown, but that's when Brangelina spots them and promptly adopts them. Can they escape the Jolie-Pitt family dungeon or will they have to endure baby Shiloh's taunting forever?

Barbara Walters is said to have interviewed more politicians and superstars than any other person in history and after watching this, I believe it. Even the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles got Barb's attention a few years back and this "dudette" didn't hesitate asking them the hard-hitting questions. What I want to know is: Why is this woman sitting in a sewer dressed as though she just walked off the set of "Grease"?

...and the standards (such as they are) of The View take a nosedive. First they're talking about Paris getting pulled over by the cops, then they're talking about sex with horses. I kid you not.

FYI, Barb: Body language speaks louder than false words or nervous giggles, so your scooch away from Rosie on the couch makes it screamingly apparent that her rap 'n wiggle is freaking you out. Just give up the act and go ballistic on her already!
