When asked how he would grade himself on dealing with the economy, President Obama said on Tuesday's The View that he would give himself an "incomplete." He went on to say, "Because of the steps we took, the economy is much stronger than it was when I came into office."

Now that we know the grade our president would give himself, what letter grade you would give yourself for managing your own finances? Realistically speaking, do you think you can do better with handling your money, or do you have it down pat?

The White House welcomed the LA Galaxy soccer club for a special event in Washington DC this afternoon. David Beckham was among his teammates as they were honored by President Obama and First Lady Michelle for their successful 2011 season and MLS Cup win. Landon Donovan presented the president with a custom jersey after Obama spoke a few words. Obama joked of David, "It is a rare man who can be that tough on the field and also have his own line of underwear." Later, the players participated in a question and answer section for Michelle's "Let's Move" campaign. David is in the nation's capital with the rest of the team after they traveled to Canada last week for a Saturday match against the Montreal Impact that resulted in a tie.

There's no definitive age marker when kids move from thinking their parents are cool to deciding they are embarrassing, but it certainly exists. The next time your offspring give you that knowing look that you're agitating them, just remind them how Sasha and Malia Obama must feel. When their father goes on national television telling stories about them or singing a few lines from a Motown hit, they have to live with replays for weeks on end. The president appeared on The View today and revealed that his daughters find him to be "just the right amount of embarrassing." Obama's Inspiring Advice For Female New Grads

It's that time of the year again when fresh young grads cheer on commencement speakers and throw their tasseled hats up in the air. President Obama gave a riveting commencement speech on Monday to the women's university, Barnard College. It's a school affiliated with Columbia University, which is the school Obama graduated from in 1983. Here is some of his most inspiring advice for women:

Don't accept any less than you deserve: ". . . don’t accept somebody else's construction of the way things ought to be. It's up to you to right wrongs. It's up to you to point out injustice. It's up to you to hold the system accountable and sometimes upend it entirely. It's up to you to stand up and to be heard, to write and to lobby, to march, to organize, to vote. Don't be content to just sit back and watch."
Persevere: "Nothing worthwhile is easy. No one of achievement has avoided failure - sometimes catastrophic failures. But they keep at it. They learn from mistakes. They don't quit."
Lead by example: "Never underestimate the power of your example . . . This diploma opens up new possibilities, so reach back, convince a young girl to earn one, too. If you earned your degree in areas where we need more women - like computer science or engineering - reach back and persuade another student to study it, too. If you're going into fields where we need more women, like construction or computer engineering, reach back, hire someone new. Be a mentor. Be a role model."

Obama Corrects Elisabeth Hasselbeck and Clarifies His View on Gay Marriage

President Obama came on The View today to talk hot topics, specifically gay marriage. The ladies on the show made for supportive hosts, as even the most conservative of the bunch, Elisabeth Hasselbeck, has voiced support for equal marriage rights in the past. Even so, Elisabeth challenged the president to explain how his position of letting the states define marriage differs from Mitt Romney's. She said, "at this point, you both said leave it to the states to decide." Obama was ready to respond, saying, "Elisabeth, that's actually not true," pointing out that Mitt Romney favors a federal constitutional amendment that would define marriage as between a man and a woman. Jay-Z Throws Support to Gay Marriage

Jay-Z echoed President Obama's support of gay marriage in a new interview with CNN, saying it's "no different than discriminating against blacks. It's discrimination plain and simple." The rapper has a live-and-let-live attitude on the subject, explaining: "What people do in their own homes is their business and you can choose to love whoever you love. That's their business." While Obama has one of hip-hop's biggest names on his side, reports say that his new position on same-sex marriage is leaving some black churches conflicted. While some pastors kept quiet and a minority expressed support for the president's position at last Sunday's services, others specifically reaffirmed their opposition to gay marriage. But as Jay said on the topic of black voters: "It's really not about votes. It's about people." Watch the interview now.

President Obama Backs Gay Marriage

President Obama has become the first US president in office to support gay marriage explicitly. In an interview with ABC's Robin Roberts, yet to air, Obama comes out in favor of full marriage rights for same-sex couples. The move could be politically complicated, as it comes the day after voters in North Carolina - an important swing state - passed a constitutional amendment banning gay marriage. The president said:

"I have to tell you that over the course of several years as I have talked to friends and family and neighbors when I think about members of my own staff who are in incredibly committed monogamous relationships, same-sex relationships, who are raising kids together, when I think about those soldiers or airmen or marines or sailors who are out there fighting on my behalf and yet feel constrained, even now that Don't Ask Don't Tell is gone, because they are not able to commit themselves in a marriage, at a certain point I’ve just concluded that for me personally it is important for me to go ahead and affirm that I think same sex couples should be able to get married."

Obama's Complicated Relationship With Gay Marriage

The Obama administration has had a rocky relationship with its stance on gay marriage, so our interest was piqued at Joe Biden's recent comments in support of same-sex marriage. On Meet the Press the vice president said:

"I am absolutely comfortable with the fact that men marrying men, women marrying women and heterosexual - men and women marrying - are entitled to the same exact rights, all the civil rights, all the civil liberties. And quite frankly, I don't see much of a distinction beyond that."

While Biden has made his stance on the issue clear, Barack Obama hasn't always been forthright in his support of gay marriage. And while he's been quoted as saying he's "evolving" in regards to gay marriage, looking at his track record we have to wonder toward which direction? And things have only gotten more complicated during this election season, when he's trying to appease liberals along with the swing voters. Not only do conservative and working-class groups oppose same-sex marriage, many of his African American supporters do, too. But what has Obama actually said on the issue? Here are some of his quotes on gay marriage:

1996: "I favor legalizing same-sex marriages, and would fight efforts to prohibit such marriages." - questionnaire
2004: "I am a fierce supporter of domestic-partnership and civil-union laws. I am not a supporter of gay marriage as it has been thrown about, primarily just as a strategic issue." - Windy City Times interview
