This week I attended a panel put on by the New Democratic Network (NDN), a progressive think tank. Speakers like Mayor Booker from Newark, NJ, Cecile Richards, the president of Planned Parenthood, Jonathan Atler, the senior editor of Newsweek, and the amazing Arianna Huffington, editor in chief of the Huffington Post, discussed their ideas for a better tomorrow.
Cecile Richards pointed out that Planned Parenthood does more to prevent abortion than any other group, and said that John McCain and his 0 percent voting record with Planned Parenthood would take American women backwards.

Last night on The Colbert Report, Arianna Huffington explained that John McCain's passion for Iraq is "his Viagra." Ariannna, the supreme ruler of the liberal site The Huffington Post, discussed how she fell out of love with her former hero McCain, while promoting her new short-titled book: Right Is Wrong: How the Lunatic Fringe Hijacked America, Shredded the Constitution, and Made Us All Less Safe.
The Huffington Post is not shy about its agenda — and love for Barack Obama.

Comedian Tracey Ullman, and former Brit, has become a US citizen, right in time to start using her fellow Americans as material for her new show "State of the Union."
Here's a clip of Ullman channeling another naturalized US citizen: Arianna Huffington. If Ullman's impersonation of the Greek-born progressive blogger is a sign of things to come, I can't wait to catch entire episodes of the show.

Arianna Huffington has taken a break from blogging about politics to share some personal insight: how she is managing to enjoy a family vacation with her ex-husband.
Arianna explains that like many other divorced couples she and her ex-husband have managed to maintain a friendship for the sake of their kids. Still, I know some former couples who have remained friends without any higher obligation to their mutual offspring.

In a stellar hybrid of New York magazine's Approval Matrix and the fascinating Political Compass, this week's fun tidbit from Vanity Fair shows the big blogs on a spectrum from news to opinion and scurrilous to earnest. Who doesn't want to see where Politico stacks up against Radar, and Michelle Malkin against FireDogLake?
With rollover pics popping up fairly pointed descriptions of the blogs, it does fairly point out that the Huffington Post is shamelessly pro-Obama and that Drudge has an unfailing reach with his Republican-friendly headlines and ugly step-sister graphics.
