Did you know that Budapest is a French-speaking country? According to Kellie Pickler, it is. Girlfriend appeared on Are You Smarter Than a Fifth Grader?, got a third-grade geography question, and showcased her stupidity to the world. Sound harsh? Watch the video. She may have a beautiful voice, but in this arena, Kellie needs to step away from the microphone and let her kid "classmate" provide all the vocals. (Maybe Miss Teen S.C. was right - U.S Americans need maps and we need them now!)

I'll admit, when Kellie Pickler was "what's a ballsy"-ing her way through season five of "American Idol," I did occasionally question her intelligence. But is she smarter than a fifth grader? I guess we'll soon find out. Pickler is among the celebrities who will guest-star on "Are You Smarter than a Fifth Grader" during November sweeps. Also going to the head of the class: Clay Aiken, Regis Philbin, Billy Bush, Tony Hawk, and Miss America (Lauren Nelson). They're playing for charity, so I imagine that they'll all be doing their best, and not intentionally mispronouncing words to seem cuter (ahem, Pickler). But which of them - if any - do you think has the greatest chance of taking home the $1 million top prize?

I think I'd rather eat live millipedes on "Fear Factor" than have to square against a 5th grader with better math skills than me--cuz that would include any fifth grader.

I am opposed to Fox's Are You Smarter Than A 5th Grader show on the grounds that I've forgotten most of the trivial knowledge I ever learned and well, I am not really sure if knowing state capitals makes a smart human being. (Don't worry, I do know state capitals, I'm just saying...) Still, I have been charmed by the cute geekiness of Alana, 9, and Laura, 11, the two female 5th graders on the show.

In case you haven't seen the show, it tests adults’ lack of knowledge – as revealed by how much they’ve forgotten since elementary school.

read more Alana hails from San Diego, CA. Math is her favorite subject and she loves playing with her two dogs. She also displays a passion for dance, especially hip-hop and jazz. Laura is from Los Angeles, CA, loves all school subjects and consistently gets great grades. She has also proven to be quite the matchmaker; she has successfully helped more than one happy couple find love. I know it's hard being a geek as a kid and these too future geeksugar readers make me proud. You go girls!
