Feb 27 2009 - 9:00am If you close your eyes and listen to say,
Anthony Hopkins or
George Clooney, you can just tell that they have some sort of it-factor. A sexy voice goes a long way in my book, and while a run-of-the-mill voice wouldn't be a deal-breaker for me, a man with a sultry sound is definitely welcomed! Do you all agree?

Yes! Whenever I meet a new guy that's one of the first things that draws me to him. If I'm really turned off by his voice, it's so disappointing because I know I'll never be all that attracted to him, no matter how good he looks.
1Yeppp. I hear its the same for a guy with a womans voice but, apparently, i have the worst voice ever (low and raspy, lindsay lohan/scarlett johanssen-esq), but my boyfriend thinks its sexy (and his is sexy) so i guess thats all that matters!
2Yes totally, I can't be with a guy whose voice doesn't relax me.
3the voice is a big thing, You are going to have to listen to it ...alot...you had better like it! My husband has a really deep voice, like heath Ledger used to, he actually has to lighten up on it sometimes on the phone because people get intimidated by it.
4As long as it isn't too feminine it's not a HUGE factor to me.
5I agree with you, Dear. Not a deal-breaker, but I definitely LOVE a sexy voice.
6I could deal...but thankfully, my hubby has a sexy voice.
7absolutely.
8A good voice isn't necessarily a turn on for me, but a bad voice is most definitely a turn off!!
9My boyfriend has the sexiest voice I have ever heard in my life. Apparently, just talking to even people on the phone, random people will be like "you have a really nice voice". It's weird, because I never notice anyones voice...but the first time I heard my BF's, wow. But that was the first time I gave a crap about a voice.
10Like dear said, it's not a deal breaker, but a sexy voice is definitely a plus!
Does anyone else listen to country music? Josh Turner in particular. B/c that man has the sexist voice in existence...EVER. He could be the ugliest, meanest biggest jerk alive (which I doubt he is, lol) and he would still have women tackling him just b/c of his voice.
11Same here -- a good voice is a bonus, but not a deal breaker.
Incidentally, my hubbie has a good voice, and an especially good phone voice. I never noticed it until my girlfriends commented on that. They say he sounds so nice on the phone. After they mentioned it, I started to notice -- and I agree.
12Yes it does. My bf has a deep sexy voice. I love it. hes great.
13Alan Rickman - all he has to do is speak and I go weak in the knees. He's not particularly attractive to me at all physically speaking. It's just his voice. It killlllls me. softly. hahaha.
14Voice is VERY important!!! to me that is...
15It didn't with my husband but for the man I would leave my husband for (Robert Pattinson) OOOOOHHHH YEAH! That britsh accent in hot!
16I couldn't deal with a guy who had a feminine voice. I'll never forget the first time my guy used his deep whisper bedroom voice in my ear. I went weak in the knees. Yummy.
17An unattractive voice is a turn-off. An attractive voice is a turn-on. Anything in the middle is just fine.
18I love a sexy man voice!
19Muirnea you hit that nail right on. Josh Turner is the epitome of a sexy voice.
Yes, definitely! Especially because we have been doing the long-distance thing for 15 months and I pretty much only hear his voice (all that is about to end next weekend! finally! LDRs can work, ladies!). His voice has become a comfort to me, and the happiest part of my day. I doubt I will stop feeling that way, even after we are together again!
20Yep! For example, David Beckham is super hot to look at, but when he opens his mouth he ruins it for me. And, I agree with alliep - Alan Rickman isn't much to look at but the man can talk me into bed any time!!
21I love my fellow's voice. He has a gorgeous British accent and he's radio show (of course he's the funniest and sexiest one).
22*he's on
23One time I went weak and the knees and all loopy hearing my fellow's phone voice. He was confirming our arrival in a hotel later that night. ha ha.
24HECK YES!!
my boyfriend has an amazingly sexy British accent... which is one of the reasons why I noticed him!
25As long it's not really high, I don't care that much.
26I'm a total sucker for a guy with a nice voice. I don't think it would be a deal-breaker, but when my husband and I first talked on the phone (we met through friends and we talked on the phone and emailed before we actually met in person), I told him he had a nice phone voice, which is kind of funny because his dad has one of the most obnoxious voices ever.
27I couldn't talk to someone whose voice who is higher than mine.
28Definite plus.
29Anthony Hopkins' voice would scare me sh*tless! I could just heard, "Well, Clarice - have the lambs stopped screaming? " I like a sexy voice tho, Barry White, James Earl Jones, Mufasa! OOHHH whisper sweet nothings in my hear!
30merie33: Omg, I know, LOL, he is so amazing.
31Muirnea you are so right. He definitely has one of the best voices I've ever heard. My teacher is in love with him.
32Speaking voices don't get me weak in the knees. Oh but a man with VOCALS! Oh my goodness. I'm a sucker for a great tenor. Lol. But it's more than just the frequency of the voice but the heart behind it. When I can hear how much he cares about me in his voice, that's what's hot. But a good serenade never hurt. Lol. With that said, I definitely need a man who can hold a tune. I'm not the only one singing in this relationship. Lol.
33yes. not even a question
34It's so funny this post came up today. I'm at this new job and my boss has an EXTREMELY SEXY voice.
He's a fairly attractive guy and I probably wouldn't freak out over him IF IT WEREN'T FOR THAT VOICE. It distracts me from my work when he's speaking, because his office is so close to my desk and he leaves the door open.
After meeting him, I've started to pay more attention to a guy's voice.
35If he had a squeaky or common voice then it would be an instant turn-off.
36I loved my ex's voice. I dated guys that sounded too soft to me, and it really bothered me. I like hearing a strong voice, because it reinforces to me that the guy won't back down if I step on his toes on purpose.
37Oh god yes. I guess I definitely don't have a girlish high voice, mine is fairly deep for a woman-- at least in my opinion. So I definitely like a deep voice in a guy, and thankfully my guy has that
I've dated the high-voice guys and it's a huge turn off.
