As a self-described dork, I say with pride that I love fancy fonts and creative alphabets. I wish I could type letters to people using the beard alphabet you see up there, or maybe the butterfly wings alphabet in the gallery below.

The Leapfrog Alphabet Pal is a cute toy caterpillar that's supposed to teach tykes the ABCs. Each of the caterpillar's 26 legs says a different letter of the alphabet. Kids press, play, and learn - but they're learning a little more than their ABCs! Listen in:

When celebs appear on Sesame Street, they've got to flex their ABCs. Comedian Richard Pryor had his own way of doing the alphabet thang without putting those kiddies to X, Y, Zzzzzz. . . Who knew the letters could have 'tude without a tune? This is fun.

I've been known to be a cynic. (Pause for laughter and all the "no sh*t, Sherlock!" comments to die down.) But they say that a cynic is really just a softie at heart, and that must be true, because this video is killing me. This little girl keeps interrupting her recital of the alphabet by saying "Cookie Monster!" and then giggling. Ol' Kermit is trying to keep a straight puppet face, cuz she's so ridiculously adorable. Especially at the end. Sigh.
