Well, this was the highlight of my weekend: official GiggleSugar girl crush Dolly Parton strutted her stuff on 60 Minutes last night and told a story about how as a little girl, she wanted to be a piglet so bad, she tried suckling a mama pig. Somehow, it's cute when she says it. Don't worry, Dolly: you're not the only one!

It seems like a silly question, but last night on 60 Minutes, Steve Kroft pressed President Obama for letting loose a few chuckles during his interview.
The exchange went like this:
Kroft: Are people going to look at this and say, "I mean, he's sitting there just making jokes about money" — How do you deal with— I mean: explain . .

President-elect Barack Obama and his wife Michelle addressed the economic crisis, transition, national security, his cabinet, and even the presidential pooch in their first post-election interview with Steve Kroft from 60 Minutes last night. When asked about Hillary Clinton, who is rumored to be his Secretary of State pick, Obama said, "She is somebody who I needed advice and counsel from. She is one of the most thoughtful public officials that we have.

I don't think there are many folks for whom that 60 Minutes ticking clock opener doesn't prompt childhood flashbacks of a Sunday night dread of homework, baths, and bedtime. This is decidedly more fun: It takes the famous intro, the "I'm Morely Safer" part, and, well, imagines what would happen if Rambo and friends showed up to contribute.
I can't stop watching it over and over.

This week Oregon is holding a lottery for the remaining 3,000 slots in their state health care system. That's right: a lottery. While the health care story dominating the headlines recently is the Hillary/Barack mandate debate, far more shocking stories just like this are plaguing the U.S.
