I watched the Golden Globes with a group of loud friends on Sunday so last night, after watching highlights from the big show, I was glad to finally hear Kate Winslet's acceptance speech. Through her emotional words, she was able to passionately tell her husband and director of Revolutionary Road, that she loved every second of working with him on the film and that it made her love him more.
Being able to fall in love with your significant other over and over again must be one of the secrets to having a long-lasting, successful relationship.
OK, so they don't look exactly alike, but Renee Zellweger seemed to be channeling Shelly Winters at the Golden Globe Awards the other night. From her odd retro hair to her "meet me at the saloon" sheer black dress, she was Ms. Winters at her most awkward.
Poor Angelina. First she had to endure (well, we all did) Anne Hathaway's interminable acceptance speech at the Critics' Choice Awards, and let's just say she didn't look too happy about it. Then, last night at the Golden Globe Awards, best actress winner Kate Winslet, when apologizing to the other actresses in the category, couldn't remember who "the other one" was she was apologizing to!
Mickey Rourke has led many lives. He was a hot young thing in the '80s. He squandered it away with douchebag behavior.
