Citizen and I are headed to Denver this week, along with the Democratic Party, which is returning to the city after a 100-year hiatus! In 1908 the Democrats gathered in Denver to choose a nominee to be president of the 88 million Americans alive at that time. The 1908 Democratic National Convention was the first major-party convention in a Western state, and the first to host female delegates. Read more
