Tomorrow Today was a UK television program of the '70s that claimed to predict trends and lifestyle habits of the future. And where did the experts foresee fashion going? They had a space-age getup in mind, complete with metallic miniskirts and "specially adapted cosmetics belts" to free us ladies of our bulky purses.

Douches and Red Bull often go together, but not like this. Mandy Moore totally nails the '70s lady-commercial voice and the fashions in this parody ad for Red Bull Douche, "the world's first feminine hygiene product with Red Bull." Admittedly, I've sometimes wished I could mainline energy drinks — just not down there.

US Congresswoman Jackie Speier (D-CA) wants the nation to slooooow down. The representative, channeling Richard Nixon, has proposed a national speed limit of 55 miles per hour.

Famous American fashion designers of the 1930s were asked to predict what well-dressed folks would be wearing in the year 2000. Some predictions were spot-on and others were way off. These fashionistas somehow foresaw women of the millennium donning skanky see-through dresses, accessorized with body temperature regulating belts — for our ever-frequent hot flashes, I presume?

Lord I wish this were a real movie. Italian Spiderman has actione, velocita, terrore, suspenso, and romanza...what more could you ask for? Well, how about a Jack Black look-alike who more than fills out his tight suit, an awesome soundtrack punctuated by the roar of a cheetah, and hot 70's fashions?
