Jessica and Tim teamed up on stage to present the Breakout Athlete of the Year award, which went to Lin for his season on the New York Knicks. Jessica wore a sexy Christian Dior dress for the occasion and tweeted on her way to the show that she hoped she wouldn't slip up in front of the conservative Tebow, saying, "Dear God, please don't let me swear in front of @timtebow at the ‪#espys‬ tonight when we present. Love, Jess." Jessica also praised the night's master of ceremonies, Rob Riggle, but asserted that her fiancé, Justin Timberlake, was the best ESPY host of all time.

Jessica is gearing up for a busy few weeks promoting Total Recall ahead of its Aug. 3 release. Jessica Biel is on the August cover of InStyle, and in the magazine she talked about her engagement ring, her stylish man JT, and having kids with him someday. Justin and Jessica are rumored to be tying the knot later this Summer, and until then she seems to be enjoying working some bridal white into her red-carpet choices.

After all the controversy, pro-life group Focus on the Family ran its Super Bowl ad yesterday. It stars crazy-successful college football player Tim Tebow and his mom Pam. When she was pregnant with him, she went against the urging of her doctors and chose not to abort him. Now she and her Evangelical husband believe Timmy is here to be a preacher, and playing football is not the end but a means to finding a platform.

Too bad the commercial is completely incoherent to anyone who doesn't know the backstory. It never says "abortion" or "pregnancy" or "choice." Instead, Pam Tebow speaks of her "miracle baby" and how many times she almost lost him. And then little Timmy, all grown-up, tackles her to the ground and they hug make up. And scene.

Nothing brings Americans together like the Super Bowl. Even if you hate football, you probably like some sort of junk food or beverage available at a Super Bowl party. Conversely, nothing divides Americans quite like abortion. The debate is so explosive that the two sides often spend more time arguing than working together to decrease the need for abortion altogether. Put the two things together and you have a super controversy.

CBS has approved a commercial sponsored by Focus on the Family to run during the Super Bowl. The ad does not take a subtle approach to getting the pro-life message out; instead it asks viewers to imagine if college football star Tim Tebow's mother Pam had aborted him.

Pam recounts that after getting sick during a mission trip to the Philippines, doctors recommended she abort her fifth child, Tim. If she had followed their advice, the logic suggests, Tim would never have won the Heisman Trophy, Florida would never had won two football championships, and Pam wouldn't have her wonderful son. The ad misses the point that Pam Tebow was still given a choice between risking her health and having the baby, or following the doctors' recommendation for an abortion. But leaving aside the merits of the argument, do you think the ad should run during the Super Bowl?
