I can imagine it feels pretty good to have a song written about you — unless of course it's an angry breakup anthem. Some of the best love songs (and antilove songs) have true stories behind them, so in honor of the Grammy Awards this weekend, can you guess who these songs are rumored to be written about?
Hard to believe, but Stephen Colbert was the lead in a band back in the '80s. It was a time when love songs and power ballads dominated the airwaves and young Stephen had no problem playing the part of a hard-core rocker stalker. (He had a problem obeying that pesky restraining order, but a "special hidden message" had to be delivered to a "special hidden lady." It just had to.) But those days are long gone and, thankfully, his heavy eyeliner and tight-ass jeans are too.
Like Audrey Tautou's movie Priceless, I'm completely smitten by the poster and trailer for Love Songs, a movie from French filmmaker Christophe Honore. Everything in the preview screams "French": a love triangle, pretty singing, heartbreak, and the glittering streets of Paris as the backdrop.
The musical, opening in limited release in America on March 21, follows a man and a woman who invite another woman into their relationship to spice things up. As the IFC site for Love Songs explains, the heart of the story comes when tragedy strikes and "these young Parisians are forced to deal with the fragility of life and love."

The order is subject to debate, but these things are always a matter of opinion anyway. I love the top five in particular, and EW provides pretty thoughtful explanations for each of the selections.
Some that I might add would be the upbeat, happy-in-love Pointer Sisters song "I'm So Excited" as well as the super groovy Queen favorite "Crazy Little Thing Called Love." What love anthems would you add?
