Thinking about eloping? Your family might not approve, but these celebrities have your back. Janet Jackson and her billionaire beau, Wissam Al Mana, are the latest pair to marry in secret, as we found out this week when they confirmed they married in a "private and beautiful" ceremony — last year! With their every move constantly in the public eye, stars having undercover weddings seems unexpected if not impossible. But there are celebrities who have managed to escape the spotlight with their one and only to elope in private, intimate weddings. Elements of surprise and impulse can mean more passion and romance. If you're engaged and longing to elope, take a look back with us now at some of the celebrity couples who've secretly wed.
"I Want to Do Something Insanely Crazy and Stupid!"

Life is way too short, I've been realizing that lately. I'm so sick of the typical boring lifestyle. College college college. Work work work. Never any spontaneity! I've been having the urge to do something that I know is stupid, but I just don't care. I need something to throw the balance off in my boring, stressful life. I've brainstormed ideas with my boyfriend about eloping, running away, couple tattoos or even moving to a new country and starting a whole new life. He, obviously, is the voice of reason and destroys all ideas. But, I know we are young, I'm not saying we should do it now (18-19 yrs old) just sometime in the future so I have something to look forward to. I don't want to waste even more of my youth. Life, like I said, is incredibly short. I can't stand the thought of looking back dissatisfied. Help/opinions?

10 Reasons Eloping Is Beautiful
I've seen a good amount of traditional tie-the-knot ceremonies, and they are all wonderful in their own way, don't get me wrong. But for some reason whenever I come across an elopement, I get all misty-eyed in a way I just don't with run-of-the-mill big days. Elopements stand out as more romantic, personal, and sentimental than over-the-top ceremonies because they are really all about the couple. And modern-day elopements now incorporate many of the perks a traditional wedding has — cakes, professional photography, a reception/party later on — making it a sort of best-of-both-worlds hybrid event. To see what I'm talking about, I've rounded up some of my favorite elopements for a show-and-tell on the beauty of an unwedding.
