Katie Holmes had a fun day of work and play in Kent, CT, yesterday. First, Katie drank a beer and read a book with costars while filming her latest project, a currently untitled big-screen version of Anton Chekhov's The Seagull. Katie later went on a break and met up with her daughter, Suri, to take a quick dip in a nearby pond. The actress hopped into the water in denim shorts and a striped tee before carrying Suri, who was wearing a cute ruffled swimsuit. The pair been spending time together in Kent while Tom Cruise preps to promote Rock of Ages. Over the holiday weekend, Katie and Suri were spotted taking a stroll through the tiny Northeast town.
