Meghan McCain Says She's a Big Fan of Hillary Clinton in New Book

No matter where you stand on the political spectrum, as a woman you gotta hand it to Meghan McCain for speaking her mind.

No matter where you stand on the political spectrum, as a woman you gotta hand it to Meghan McCain for speaking her mind. She's not afraid to get real about her sexuality and fight back against criticisms regarding her body, and now in her new book, America, You Sexy Bitch: A Love Letter to Freedom (out next month) — which she cowrote with Wet Hot American Summer's Michael Ian Black — the former presidential nominee's daughter isn't holding back on her hatred and love for certain political figures. She attacks former US president Bill Clinton for having "cheated and lied," saying that her parents taught her not to lie, cheat, or steal. However, the irony is that her dad, John McCain, began dating her mom while he was still married to his previous wife, Carol Shepp. Even if she dislikes Bill, she writes that she's a big fan of his wife, Hillary. See some of her quotes from the book below:

On double standards: "There is no real way to be a woman in the media and not have your relationship with sex in whatever capacity harshly judged."

On stereotyping women in politics: "One gets to be Sarah Palin, the gorgeous, stupid airhead. Or Hillary Clinton, the aging, mercenary bitch. I do not think nor believe those should be the only options for women in politics."

On Hillary Clinton: "I disagree with many, many of her policies but have a respect for the fact she pushed through many doors and shattered many glass ceilings for women in politics. I love women who don't put up with sh*t, and Hillary clearly doesn't."

What Has Today Show Guest Host Sarah Palin Been Up to Lately?

Almost four years after Sarah Palin told Katie Couric she couldn't recall the specific newspapers she reads, the two are going head to head again.

Almost four years after Sarah Palin told Katie Couric she couldn't recall the specific newspapers she reads, the two are going head to head again. This morning, Sarah and Katie are hosting rival morning shows. Liberal-media critic Sarah is this morning's guest host on NBC's Today, while longtime Today show host Katie is cohosting ABC's Good Morning America all week. No, this is not a leftover April Fools' Day joke. If you turned on your TV this morning to see Sarah Palin and wondered what she's been up to lately, here is a rundown.

  • Keeping up the heat on Obama. She may be out of politics officially, but you can still count on Sarah Palin to weigh in on the day's politics. Last week Sarah said, "President Obama will have ‘more flexibility’ to weaken us if he’s reelected in November."
  • Backing up Santorum. When GOP presidential candidate Rick Santorum accused a New York Times reporter of "bullsh*t" Sarah had his back. She said, “Welcome to my world, Rick, and good on ya."
  • Handling the Game Change drama. Last month, HBO released its high-profile movie about the 2008 campaign, Game Change, with Julianne Moore playing Sarah Palin. In response, Sarah wrote to ABC News: “I believe my family has the right priorities and knows what really matters/ For instance, our son called from Afghanistan yesterday and he sounded good, and that’s what matters. Being in the good graces of Hollywood’s ‘Team Obama’ isn’t top of my list."
  • Keeping up with her Facebook friends. If you follow Sarah Palin's Facebook page, you can count on a steady stream of musings. On March 24, she wrote a Facebook note claiming that Alaskan women don't tolerate sexism, titled Last Frontier Women Don’t Tolerate Misogynists. "I personally do not seek an apology from these narrow-minded men. With a full family and productive 'to-do' list everyday, I just don’t have time for them. But I do feel sorry for them and for their obvious need to compensate for something that’s missing in their own lives, which compels them to belittle others in order to feel big," Sarah quipped.
  • Working for Fox. It's somewhat surprising Sarah Palin is going on NBC, considering she's been a contributor for Fox News. Just last week, she wrote an op-ed on Fox Nation, titled God, Guns, the Constitution – Still Clinging.
  • Being nominated for a Razzie. At this past weekend's Razzies, Sarah was nominated for a Golden Raspberry Award as worst actress on account of her performance in the documentary The Undefeated, which chronicled her political career. She lost to Jack and Jill, which took home every single Razzie.

Fox News Chief: I Hired Sarah Palin Because "She Was Hot"

Reflecting on his 15-year and counting run as Fox News chief, Roger Ailes recently made blunt comments about Sarah Palin.

Reflecting on his 15-year and counting run as Fox News chief, Roger Ailes recently made blunt comments about Sarah Palin. Ailes admitted that he hired Sarah Palin as a paid contributor not for her expertise, but "because she was hot and got ratings."

Like many female politicians before her, Sarah Palin's looks have been a hot-topic since she came on the national scene. But instead of being criticized for her dowdy look or masculine pantsuits, Sarah took flack for a $150,000 "shopping spree" and an expensive makeup artist. Despite the controversy, her telegenic looks apparently helped Sarah Palin gain a career after she prematurely ended her stint as Alaska governor. While I'm sure ratings and appearance go into every on-air contributor decision a network head makes, do you think it was inappropriate for Ailes to say he hired Palin because she was "hot?"

Tonight, You Can See What Happens at Sarah Palin's Salon

You could be forgiven for not noticing tonight's debut of Big Hair Alaska, a reality series about the Beehive Beauty Shop.

You could be forgiven for not noticing tonight's debut of Big Hair Alaska, a reality series about the Beehive Beauty Shop. The two-part special, which follows the workers and clientele of a Wasilla, AK, salon — yes, it's where Sarah Palin has her hair done — airs this evening on TLC. Yet oddly, there's nary a mention of it on TLC's homepage beyond its small inclusion in a schedule. A preview suggests that the Beehive is more than just a primping parlor; it's a place where Wasillans share stories, advice, and chit-chat.

Still, the show doesn't sound like an obvious must watch for the beauty-obsessed or reality-loving crowd. Whereas other salon reality shows have involved an element of creative competition or celebrity glamour, Big Hair Alaska seems to rely mostly on telling hairstyling stories with a grizzly-bear twist. And as election season puts Michele Bachmann in Palin's former media spotlight, a vague Palin connection isn't as much of a selling point as it might have been even six months ago. If this show aims to make for water cooler conversation, it'll need strong story lines to lure viewers into palling around with colorists. Big Hair Alaska airs on TLC tonight at 10 p.m.

New Sarah Palin Biography Alleges Scandalous Past

A new unauthorized Sarah Palin biography hits shelves this month, Joe McGinniss's The Rogue: Searching For the Real Sarah Palin, and the book's allegations against the former vice presidential candidate are juicy, to say the least.

A new unauthorized Sarah Palin biography hits shelves this month, Joe McGinniss's The Rogue: Searching For the Real Sarah Palin, and the book's allegations against the former vice presidential candidate are juicy, to say the least.

According to the Sarah Palin book, she snorted coke with Todd, had a one-night stand with an NBA star, and cheated on her husband with his business partner. If all this information is true, the likelihood of Sarah joining the presidential race seems dismal. But nowadays every politician has a scandal, and by getting her name in the public's eye again could the book actually be helping her political aspirations instead of hurting them?

Tea Party Faithful Show Up to Support Maybe-Candidate Sarah Palin

Sarah Palin drew twice as many supporters as GOP front-runner Mitt Romney this weekend at a Labor Day Tea Party event in New Hampshire.

Sarah Palin drew twice as many supporters as GOP front-runner Mitt Romney this weekend at a Labor Day Tea Party event in New Hampshire. The former governor and vice presidential candidate continues to give pseudo stump speeches to campaign-style crowds in strategically important states. But although Palin also completed a half-marathon this weekend, coming in second in her age bracket, she's still denying any intent to run — for president.

Palin's supporters wished she would though, chanting, "Run, Sarah, run" at the rally. But there's not much time, nor room in the race left. As a currently serving Congresswoman with an Iowa straw poll win under her belt, Michele Bachmann could make a similar, yet stronger candidate than Palin, and she also appeals to the Tea Party base. Plus, Bachmann's campaign manager stepped down yesterday, citing health concerns, while also stating that he thinks it's currently a race between Mitt Romney and Rick Perry.

On the other side of the spectrum, President Obama gave his own campaign-like speech in Detroit on Monday after a couple of days with his family at Camp David. Aretha Franklin was on hand, as the president heard chants of "four more years," but he still has to wait months to find out who he'll face. Do you think Sarah Palin will throw her hat in the ring?

Sarah Palin's Hair Salon Is Getting Its Own Reality TV Show

The Beehive, Sarah Palin's hometown hair salon, is getting its own TLC reality show in a few months' time, putatively titled Big Hair Alaska.

The Beehive, Sarah Palin's hometown hair salon, is getting its own TLC reality show in a few months' time, putatively titled Big Hair Alaska. Coming on the heels of her show, Sarah Palin's Alaska, and alongside the nation's longtime fascination with Ms. Palin's looks, it makes sense that a network thought to combine the two.

There will probably be a Palin appearance or two, since the former governor is a longtime client, but other than that there's no word on what, exactly, the show will be about other than "a busy hair salon in Wasilla, AK, where the personalities of the owner and her staff are as big as the hairstyles they create." TLC will definitely find some drama in this setup, but will you be tuning in to see it?

Despite dropping out of the 2012 presidential race, Donald Trump is keeping his political friends close as he met up with fellow Tea Party-er and potential GOP candidate Sarah Palin for a pizza dinner in NYC. And what, you may ask, are New Yorkers up in arms about regarding this dining date between the former Alaskan governor and Celebrity Apprentice host? The fact that they ate their pizza with forks.
