Bright and Bold is the perfect name for this site because all the furniture, accessories, lighting, and entertaining items really are colorful and full of life. Take this Polka Dot Throw Pillow, on sale for $38 (originally $50), for example. It would instantly add a pop of color to a dull couch. Or this Tavillo Lighted Table, on sale for $98 (originally $130), which combines a table and a lamp!
The best part of shopping on this site is that they have free ground shipping on every product, every day! Bright, bold and smart!
Fab Site: Sprout Home
Sprout Home has homes in Brooklyn and Chicago, but now it also has a home online. All three stores combine Home, which offers lots of quirky home accessories, with Sprout, which offers garden tools and accessories. If you're lucky enough to make it to a brick and mortar Sprout Home, they have a Fab array of plants as well.
I love this store, but a couple of things that caught my eye were a beautiful porcelain driftwood votive and a cool set of four diner plates.

Simply Fab: Gorgeous Helen Shades

There are very few things you can do to prepare for unexpected guests - just hope you have enough drinks and seats to go around! Straight from Germany is a great new idea - the Gorgeous Helen, $20, which allows your table decoration and ambiance factor to go from zero to 60 in no time flat.
Helen is not a lady, but a set of 3 parchment shades, each one printed with a different white pattern. To prepare, all you do is roll the shades up, tuck the tabs into place, drop a votive candle into a wine glass, and place the lampshade over the top of the glass. Voila! Three gorgeous mini lamps ready to impress!
Fab Site: PaulSmith.co.uk
When I think of quirky British design, one of the first names that pops into mind is Paul Smith. He embodies a mash-up of classic English tailoring with a rainbow palette, and his online store has everything from all his different clothing collections to jewelry, shoes, books, art, and housewares - it's a veritable grab bag! Think funky pewter bowls, a keyboard-printed clutch, and swirl-printed dresses, all in one place. Brilliant!

Fab Site: Delight.com
The new Denver-based online shopping site, Delight.com, is well, delightful! I came across it a month or so ago and have been checking back since. Log on at noon each day and you'll be greeted by one item that's either of great value, is wildly innovative or is a must-have.

They sells everything from reusable grocery bags to handy glass holders for the grass or sand and more. Miss out and your life will be less delightful!
Simply Fab: SunJar

I am all about mood lighting. Even when it's just a cozy movie night, I set the mood with candles and dim lighting. So, I am always looking out for new lighting tricks and this SunJar, $55, is the coolest.
Inside this traditional Mason jar hides a highly efficient solar cell, rechargeable battery, and low energy LED lamps. You simply place the jar in the sunlight and the solar energy charges the battery and powers the LED lamps providing a diffused and warm light from the frosted jar. Completely water tight, it can be left outside in any weather, and is the perfect garden light or night-light.
I love the innovative pairing of the old-fashioned Mason Jar with today's solar power technology!
Fabworthy: Branches File Folders

These Branches File Folders, $9 for eight folders, make me want to throw out my boring manila folders at once! I know that any old folder can get the job done, but why settle for blah when you can have beautiful? I don't know about you, but the pretty pastel designs would definitely motivate me to open my folders more often. Wow, who knew style could encourage productivity?!
Jo Malone Scent-Sational Surround Sprays
Jo Malone has just introduced a brand new concept in fragrances called Scent Surround Spray. These versatile scents, which come in Lino nel Vento and Acqua di Limone, are intended for your body, your linens and your home.
You can spray them virtually anywhere that needs a little freshening up and they won't harm delicate fabrics (I always spritz a little in my lingerie, hose, bathing suit and sock drawers).
Now you can have "your scent" that follows you everywhere and will leave people wondering if you are oozing lavender and lime. Each of the fragrances has their own unique lingering and crisp aroma that adds something special to make your house feel more like a home.
Both come in a 3.4 oz bottle and sell for $55. To read more about the specifics of Lino nel Vento and Acqua di Limone, read more
Household Hot Spots: Where Does the Bacteria Lurk?
Just when you thought you were safe, WebMD is here to tell you that your house may be germier than you think. Plus all those bacterial hot spots might not be where you would expect them to be.
According to a new study performed by The Hygiene Council, the common household toilet bowl is home to the most bacteria per square inch. Not surprising is the fact that the Hygiene Council is funded by Reckitt Benckiser, the company that makes Lysol. I find that almost as interesting as the fact that the area around the bathtub drain contains more bacteria than the bathroom floor.

Simply Fab: Atypyk Cherry on Top Candle
Cherries taste yummy, but they sure have an ability to look darn cute when you can't eat them! These Atypyk Cherry on Top Candles, $7 each, are so adorable, I don't know if I could bring myself to burn them. Their stem functions as the candle wick, and they smell like candy! Perfect to decorate a kitchen - and they look good enough to eat!
