After watching Tim and Camillo dancing in the parking lot to Britney's "Circus," you said gimme more! So, here it is! Camillo is back, with a couple other dancers, to the slower Britney song. The dancing isn't quite as electric, but it's still mesmerizing, and slow enough that you can still delude yourself into thinking, "I, too, can dance like this if I just watch this enough times." Enjoy!
Back when Alanis Morissette covered Fergie's "My Humps," I thought it was funny. Now Australian pop star Sia has done a cover of Britney's "Gimme More", which comes to us via Underwire, and it actually makes me like the song a little more. Slowed down and made into a sweeter tune, Sia's song is less nightclub and more coffee shop. What do you think of this "Gimme More" — love it or leave it?
So many Britneys, so little patience. Here we are again with yet another wannabe. Ack! Boyfriend is clearly drunk, yet a little too well rehearsed. I get the feeling that he's no stranger to the bathroom mirror at home. He had to master all that booty-dropping and arm flailing somewhere, but c'mon— Less is, less is more! Less is more! Less is, less is more!
Despite its lackluster debut at the VMAs, Brit's "Gimme More" became an insta-hit. Its formulaic blend of upbeat tempo, enhanced vocals, and ear worm lyrics made it an unsurprising dance floor favorite. But, what if we slowed the groove down and made a love ballad out of it— would you want more of it? Wonder no more.
There's been a lot of speculation about Britney's latest hit song. Again and again, in a trance-like state, she repeats, "Gimme, Gimme More." More what? More babies? More bad publicity? More fashion faux-pas? More...(enter Kelly, stuck-up teeny bopper extraordinaire)...SHOES?!
We didn't think we'd get to see Brit's latest video until next week but it looks like she couldn't wait to get it out there. It's certainly a great distraction from all the bad parenting press she's been receiving. We knew about the raunchy outfit and long dark hair but we didn't know about the clever lighting and camera tricks which almost make Britney come across as still somewhat sexy. Then there's that innocent part, a la an alter ego, where she wears a blonde wig. The song is definitely a hit and we're betting the video will also get a lot of on-air play. Check out Britney's Gimme More video below and if it's taken down then buy it on iTunes by clicking here.
Now this is more like it! The few leaked songs that were supposedly Brit's big comeback were not the real thing but now we finally have the new song and the question is, Is Britney Back? The song will definitely make you want to get on the dance floor and make you wonder what it will be like to watch her perform it in that old school Britney way.
Now that the songs are out there, could we be getting a surprise appearance at the VMAs? We'd love to hope so since we'd much rather be writing posts like this one than about custody battles.
UPDATE: And since one new song is not enough (thanks to breatheheavy), here's a second single. We're liking the first one a LOT more.
