Ducklings

I never thought I'd consider any kind of snoring "cute," but here it is. Who would've thunk that something so tiny could make this kind of noise while sleeping? Or maybe he's not sleeping at all. Maybe this is a conniving ploy to have our attention on him at all times. Who could turn away from the sight and sound of this? His thoughts exactly.

There's no telling how this pack of quackers got into such a sitch, but they seem to be holding their own here. Methinks they're on a Cinnabon run and the food court happens to be one floor up. But hey, they'll waddle wherever to get them some sweets— the stale bread crumbs served down by the pond are getting a little old, you know?

I know you're not supposed to anthropomorphize, but this cat that recently adopted a pair of ducklings to replace her lost kittens is killin' me! Hiroko the cat's owner bought a pair of spot-billed duck eggs and brought them home. He shut Hiroko in with them by mistake, and they hatched while he was gone. Instead of seeing the expected when he returned--feathers everywhere and no chicks--he instead found Hiroko snuggling with them and gently grooming them. (I swear, this is not brought to you by Disney, but rather by a reputable news agency!)
