This Week's Fab Favorite: Demi Moore

Demi's always polished. And seriously — the woman looks better than ever.

Demi's always polished. And seriously — the woman looks better than ever. This week was a whirlwind with the Inauguration and the Sundance Film Festival so we had continuous style stimulation. But sometimes an LBD rules all. Demi looked excellent at MTV's Ball in her strapless, ruffled Donna Karan frock. The wavy bodice and skirt detail are what really make this dress standout; it's such a lively formal option. Talk about a modern classic. Her long brunette locks look fabulously laid back, but her Cartier diamonds keep things black tie. Satin black platform pumps keep things grounded, while her handsome partner in crime continues to be her mancessory of choice.

What's Up With Not Wearing Your Wedding Ring?

I'm sure you all noticed — if not that night, by now after seeing all the coverage — that Michelle Obama was not wearing her wedding ring on inauguration night.

I'm sure you all noticed — if not that night, by now after seeing all the coverage — that Michelle Obama was not wearing her wedding ring on inauguration night. Since she wore that enormous diamond sparkler on her left middle finger, her wedding band might have been too much, but its absence sure has people talking!

Leaving the symbolic token of marriage at home doesn't necessarily mean anything, but what's your take on giving the ring a rest every once in a while? Would/do you ever do it, or are you the type to wear your rings all the time, no matter the occasion?

Should Michelle Obama Be Supporting African American Designers?

With just a couple days into her reign as the First Lady, Michelle Obama is already starting to feel the pressures of her position.

With just a couple days into her reign as the First Lady, Michelle Obama is already starting to feel the pressures of her position. Amnau Eele, former model and co-founder of the Black Artists Association, is filing a formal appeal to the First Lady’s office on behalf of the BAA. The charge? They're mad at her for not wearing anything by an African American designer at her inaugural appearances.

“It’s one thing to look at the world without color but she had seven slots to wear designer clothes. Why wasn’t she wearing the clothes of a black designer? That was our moment,” said Eele. There's no doubt the First Lady has a lot of responsibilities to uphold but should her fashion choices be one of them?
