Who Wore It Better? Thakoon Red and Purple Print Dress I wonder if Julianne saw Michelle Obama in her Thakoon red and purple print dress when she wore it at the Democratic National Convention. Needless to say, it's a cute little shift — from Thakoon's '09 Resort collection — appropriate for both political functions and film festivals, where Julianne wore a shorter hem version. It is a surprisingly versatile dress, but who rocked it?
You'd think that the indigestion and stomach upset that accompanies eating Spam canned luncheon meat would be an adequate souvenir of your Spam experience. But the folks at Hormel thought that their customers would like a more constant reminder by enticing them to wear Spam sweatshirts and accessories and using Spam kitchen gadgets from the Spam catalog. I'm guessing from the fried, poofy perms and mom jeans that this is late '80s, early '90s. The golden age of Spam, perhaps?
In 1991, an airplane, headed for Heathrow, encountered a UFO, according to records of the UK Ministry of Defense. The commercial jet passed a brown missile-shaped object, causing the pilot to shout "Look out!"
Britain's National Archives has put 1,500 pages of UFO-related documents online. A new set of records, including witness accounts and sketches, is the latest installment of the four year program. In total, 160 UFO incidents will be made available to the public.
Another revelation? During the Cold War, a US fighter pilot leaving an English air base was ordered to open fire on a UFO above the North Sea. According to reports, the object gained speed and disappeared. Yesterday, Retired US airman Milton Torres said he was the pilot, and has spent 50 years trying to find out what happened that day.
Do you think governments try to hide evidence of extraterrestrial life from the public?
My roommate kicked me out on October 1st over an argument. I had already paid rent until the end of the month so I told her I would be out on the 24th. Now she is telling me I can't enter the house to get my things unless she is there, even though I still have a key and technically still live there until the end of the month. Can she legally tell me I can't enter unless she is there? My name isn't on the contract. It was just a agreement between the two of us, though all the utilities are in my name. How should I handle this?

As part of their parole, Maryland sex offenders must display a pumpkin sign that states "No candy at this residence." Along with posting the warning sign, the violent and child-sex offenders must also stay in their homes on Halloween, keep the lights off, and not answer the door. The state has distributed warnings to families, telling them to stay away from homes with the pumpkins.
The ACLU is currently challenging an identical Missouri law, claiming the provisions are too vague to enforce and add punishment to sentences already served. While parents and the community must protect children, do you think rehabilitated sex-offenders have a right to some privacy? Does fear go too far in trampling the rights of these ex-cons, or did they give up those rights?
I hate doing chores — what a way to ruin a good weekend or evening! I always get them done, but I do find myself moping through them most of the time. I can certainly see why it’s so appealing to share the burden with someone else or at least have company while you’re stuck doing it. Having a partner to help handle life’s daily chores and weekly errands is definitely a perk of being in a relationship. And when you live together, it especially comes in handy. What chores do you do as a team? Or do you each do your own thing?
Life seems to have a peculiar ebb and flow when it comes to love. Sometimes it's as if everyone I know is either in a serious relationship or on their way to one, while at other times everyone seems to be on the brink of breaking up and doing the single thing. What does it look like in your social scene right now?
