Charming Craig Ferguson did some sleuthing and found a much shorter and more condensed Tom Cruise/Scientology video. If you don't want to watch the long drawn out one, consider this the Cliffs Notes version. Enjoy!
The newest comedy starring Katherine Heigl, 27 Dresses, comes out in theaters today. The story revolves around Heigl's character, who has been a bridesmaid 27 times and is about to embark on her 28th for a wedding between the man of her dreams and her sister — ouch.
Needless to say, it got me thinking about that old familiar saying: always a bridesmaid, never a bride. While it's flattering to be asked to be a bridesmaid, it can be both disappointing and annoying to constantly be on the sidelines. I've been a bridesmaid a couple of times, but how many times have you?
If you missed American Idol on Wednesday night, you missed the debut of Renaldo Lapuz. Anyone wearing a cape and a dead bird on his head was bound the catch the judges' attention, but Renaldo had something else up his sleeve: a friendly crush on Simon. So he sang his heart out to the scowling judge. The song was original, it brought Randy to his feet, it triggered the kook in Paula, and. . .it was all over the radio last night. Prepare yourselves.
A terrible specter of the 2000 race, attacks against John McCain's military service record are popping up again in the Palmetto State. South Carolina Republicans are set to vote in their primary tomorrow, and the outcome — with three different winners in the first three major contests — couldn't be more crucial.
Earlier this week, Vietnam Veterans Against McCain circulated a handout accusing the candidate of betraying fellow POWs to save himself. In 2000, among other insults hurled at the Senator was the accusation that the daughter he and wife Cindy adopted from Bangladesh was actually a "black baby" he had fathered out of wedlock. McCain's campaign has been circulating authorized biographies to preempt more smear tactics.
To whomever deems these attacks an appropriate method of campaigning, I say this: Shame. On. You. Six years is six years. Whosoever has the mental and physical fortitude to withstand years of torture as a prisoner of war, then come home, only to again serve his country bravely, nobly, and fairly, is not deserving of this abuse. Disagree with him, don't vote for him, but for the rest of our sakes, at least be so good as to show John McCain a shred of the dignity he has shown you. Source
