There are signs that well-known Republicans are less than enthused about Mike Huckabee's recent surge in popularity. Rich Lowry, editor of the National Review, went so far as to issue an anti-endorsement:
"Huckabee is an under-vetted former governor who is manifestly unprepared to be president of the United States. [...] His vulnerabilities in a general election are so screamingly obvious [...].
"The GOP’s social conservatism inarguably has been an enormous benefit to the party throughout the past 30 years, winning over conservative Democrats and lower-income voters who otherwise might not find the Republican limited-government message appealing. That said, nominating a Southern Baptist pastor running on his religiosity would be rather overdoing it. "

I'm in a long-term relationship with my boyfriend of three years and I'm not happy. He's older than I am, has a low-paying job at a grocery store, lives at home with his parents, and plays video games all night long. I'm still with him because I know how much he loves me and I'm all he has. I feel like if I were to break up with him, he'd harm himself or even end his own life. I know this because he's had suicidal problems before he met me. I feel trapped and he's got marriage on his mind for the future. What should I do?

Candidates with tech-savvy offspring are featuring their kids' blogs as a part of their campaign. Cate Edwards and Meghan McCain both pen blogs about their experiences on the campaign trail. Are these blogs an asset to the process?
I have been married for almost six years. At first my husband would help out around the house, nothing big, but he would at least pick up after himself. Now, he does nothing. At first I figured he was just comfortable being his messy self, but now I think he is just lazy. He rarely does anything, even when I ask him to. Today for example, I cooked him a big dinner (roast beef, mashed potatoes, stuffing) and asked him to help me out with the dishes. He didn't even have the guts to tell me no, he just laughed and walked away.
I am sick of being treated more like a maid than a wife, and I really resent that he won't at least pick up after himself so my "job" of cleaning up the place isn't more difficult. Help!

It's the day of the big recital and all the kiddies are ready to impress their parents with a bangin' performance. But the little violinist on the right gets the job done before any playing begins. She's a real show stopper, that one.
