By now, we've all seen the vid of a bird taking a surprise crap on a reporter in the middle of a live news broadcast. It was the talk of the net last week, but there's a new development in the story. Was this really the accident it seemed to be, or was it the work of a couple of marketing gurus? The makers of "Frumondah soda" are taking all the cred for this "real fake thing that sells a real product," and they have the full commercial to prove it.
I am in love with my best friend. We have been friends for nine years. We had a relationship for two years, and it ended about five months ago. He has been with his fiancee almost four years. He ended things with me about six months after the start of his engagement, and he maintains that he still wants to be friends like we were before the affair.
We have this cycle where we end things and don't talk for a while, and then we start talking little by little, and that turns into talking every day and seeing each other a couple times a week. We haven't lapsed back into a sexual relationship, but we are always teetering on the edge of sleeping together again. Being his friend and being unhappy seems better than not having him in my life at all. I'm closer to him than anyone on the planet. I don't know how not to be friends with him so that I can really find someone else. Do you have any advice?

Tons of you commented with us live last night during President Bush's last State of the Union. A two-term president's last SOTU is usually a little awkward given that everyone's attention is glued to finding his replacement, and the short period of time he has to execute any big changes. Last night was no exception. Here are three takes on the speech, the morning after.
Canada's National Post focused on Bush's optimistic message regarding progress in Iraq.
The Christian Science Monitor called out Bush's aggressive challenges that put Congress in the driver's seat.
And from the Los Angeles Times, a sly headline indicating perhaps what they may have liked to have heard last night?
A mixed bag of coverage to be sure. Many also pointed out Bush's "lame-duck" status and struggle for relevancy. Do you think even the positive headlines had an undertone of criticism? Did Bush overstate the positives last night?
Clearly, this isn't for reals, but considering what all of the "legit" PSAs serve up, it's not too off the mark. The giant talking bar of soap pushes it over the edge, but everything else seems pretty accurate to me, especially the part about apples. An apple a day keeps the germs at play, but nachos are still safe, I'm sure . . .
We've heard it before, opposites attract. But most relationships begin because both people had a lot in common. So which is it? I wish I knew! I don't think there is any right way; it all depends on your style so which way do you lean?
Instead of doing the same old Valentine's celebration, which for my husband and I, consists of stuffing ourselves with food and wine and eating our chocolate hearts and passing out on the couch, this year we're aiming for a healthier Valentine's Day celebration away from the kids.
