When the writers' strike sent the late-night shows into hiatus, did 11 p.m. find you staring forlornly at the set pining for your Daily Show fix? Did it make you realize how much you'd been relying on Mr. Stewart to keep you informed?

love daily show. but i have to say that the "Know a District" series on Colbert is some of the best news/comedy ever made. Unbelievable!

See for me, I get so angry and sad at the regular news, so to have someone make me laugh while being informed, makes my life a little less stressful. Also, can I say I haven't been to the sugar sites in awhile due to long hours at work, so to see this new addition Citizen makes me so happy!

Love them both, can't wait for the strike to be over though. Stewart and Colbert were both forced back on the air per their contracts, make no mistake. Stewart especially seems pained by having to be there. Am so giddy that the writers were able to shut down the Globes though, maybe now people will start to realize their importance and that the greedy corporations need to give up a little extra to the ones making them so rich.

I love both! Actually the Colbert report is the funniest! Stewart is a bit more sincere so they're different but wonderful!

I haven't been able to get into Colbert Report but I looooooove Daily Show. And it got better as the week went on, I thought.

In my opinion, the show got stale quite some time ago. Stephen Colbert is number one! I'd vote for Colbert/Stewart but certainly not the other way around.

I enjoy Jon because he is truly informed on the day's events and tries to educate while being funny BUT Stephen ah Stephen is the man. I love Colbert! On Thursday when he went to the Smithsonian and started dancing to 'When Doves Cry' I honestly was on the floor rolling with laughter and gasping for air. I love that Colbert keeps his guests guessing. I love that he stays in character and the guests don't know what hit them whether he's playing a game or being truthful so they really haven't to defend their position and have a good sense of humor. Some don't, some are just too slow too egotistical (Hello Bill O'Reilly) to understand when they are the joke. Colbert is able to educate you about the undercurrents and subcultures pulling (or trying to) the strings in the US and around the world while Jon tells you what they're doing right now all in a incredibly funny way. Satire is delicious.
