What she won: Former Harvard Law professor Elizabeth Warren won the Massachusetts Senate seat against incumbent Republican senator Scott Brown in a tight, heated race.

Why it's important: By winning, Elizabeth became the first female senator from Massachusetts. A supporter of Occupy Wall Street and bankruptcy law expert, Elizabeth has what it takes to whip Wall Street into shape. Plus, she believes in climate change and is against "rape exception."
