What is your Getting Ready Routine?

Do you consider yourself to be a primper? Are you the type who takes hours getting ready for a date or a night out with friends, making sure every hair is in place and your outfit is perfectly pressed? I was meeting a male friend for dinner this weekend and he was shocked and quite impressed with how quickly I could get ready for an evening out on the town! So ladies, do tell, what does your getting ready regime entail?

I take a shower in the morning and let my hair air dry. next morning I wake at 9:10am take 5mins to really wake up :-D then I brush my teeth and put on my contacts look for my clothes, iron my pants get dress, last call the cab and I'm out of the door I do my makeup in the cad All that takes me 30mins ___________________________________________________________ Behind every great man, there's a woman rolling her eyes :oy:

I have two typse of getting ready! The army-style getting ready for emergency cases where I just shower, apply some foundation and an eye liner and mascara and nothing else if I'm really in a hurry. The longer one is made up of showering, lotion (I usually get hot wax so I don't waste time shaving), foundation, eye shadow, eye liner, taking time to do my nails, about 25 minutes overall :o

Well I shower at night and let my hair air dry so that I dont have to do all of that stuff in the morning Here is my regimen wake up at 8 (thank god all my classes start at 11) take thirty minutes just to wake up Brush teeth and put in contacts Do makeup while sitting on bed- 10 min straighten and hairspray hair- anywhere from 30-45 mins then I get dressed not bad I guess. I have about 1 1/2 hours to get ready

I take about a five minute shower if I don't have to shave, 15 if I do have to shave. Then, a minute to apply body lotion. Lately, I've been letting my hair air-dry in a messy chignon. If I blow-dry it takes anywhere from ten to twenty-five minutes, but it feels like an eternity. It takes five minutes or less to straighten my hair with a flat iron if I go that route. My make-up (if I wear any) takes five minutes. Add an extra five to ten minutes if I have to tweeze my eyebrows. I usually throw something on in less than a few minutes. If I am going somewhere where I have to put thought into what I wear, I mentally pick it out the night before. Ironing takes about ten minutes. Basically, the time it takes me to get ready depends on where I'm going and is usually an hour or less.

And of course, I have no idea how long it will take me to complete all this. This is why I am often late. In an attempt to fix that problem, I will get dressed around 4 hours before the event, and wait around until it's time to go. I'm a mess!

You low maintmence(sp?) types, you! I take my 15 minute shower, and longer to do my hair. It's very long, and a simple blow drying takes upwards of 15 minutes. Then I find find a shirt, and get the right bra. After a few minutes of frantic searching I decide none of my bottoms go, so I switch the shirt. And the bra. I try on a new shirt and search again for pants. I get jewelry, do some simple makeup, and wonder if my outfit looks too stupid/wacky. I change my shirt again, then with an exasperated sigh I put it on again, and realize the shoes I'd been planning to wear are nowhere to be found.

15 to 30 minutes I have found the less time I spend the better I look.

I also don't wear make up...So that sheds a few minutes off my time..I agree with Party Sugar..Showering, Washing hair and picking out an outfit is definitely very time consuming...I try to think of an outfit while showering so that I don't have to go through all of my clothes once I'm out. The only problem with that..is...Sometimes I become emotionally committed to an outfit and if it doesn't work out..I freak out..haha

I've noticed that as I got older, my getting ready routine has gotten a little more complex, but in general, it's pretty simple: shower, blow dry, flat iron, very minimal makeup unless someone else is doing it for me, and then i'm out. My wardrobe is pretty minimal so, I usually have a couple of safe outfits to pick from.

If I want straight, nice looking hair, it take a while due to the nature of my wily hair. But otherwise I'm usually ready in a couple minutes. I don't wear makeup and don't have a lot of clothes to pick from. So lack of choice makes my life easy I guess!

I would say it depends on whether it involves taking a shower, washing the hair, and picking out an outfit. If none of the above I can get ready quickly but if one or more it usually takes me at least a half an hour.

It depends to go out on the town it takes me a while longer to get ready I start by washing and blow drying and pressing my hair straight. Figuring out an outfit and shoes and putting on make up specially the eyes takes me a while to get that right. I don't spend more than an hour getting ready though.
